This was our second time at Saratoga Arms. The service is impeccable. They have thought of everything- and free snacks too! The property is pristinely maintained. Beds are comfortable. The location cannot be any better. Walking distance to all the restaurants and shops. We will definitely be back.

We were supposed to have a beautiful wedding on this day surrounded by family and friends in Manhattan but we had to postpone it until the spring because of the pandemic. Instead of our important day, we decided to spend a romantic weekend at the Sarasota Arms, and we had a fabulous time. Despite the pandemic and the financial hardship that the owners have had to endure, the attention to detail and personable service was second to none.
It started with the owner and the family matriarch, Katheleen Smith, personally greeting us, then, a beautifully appointed room that was spacious and comfortable with safety and cleanliness as it's the primary priority. There were two sets of carefully packed towels in a clean plastic bag, a disinfectant wipes and hand sanitizer in the room. Also, we were able to enjoy delicious home-baked chocolate chip cookie treats and complimentary cold drinks wrapped in warm and gracious hospitality.
The hotel is full of charm, decorated with period artwork and photos that belong to the Smith Family supplemented with carefully curated contemporary furnishings. Kathleen had recruited her adorable triplet grandchildren on Saturday morning to serve the guests. We were able to meet her handsome grandson, Grant, who was proud of his grandma for her business acumen and grace.
We highly recommend the charming hotel in downtown Saratoga Springs without hesitation.

We needed to get out of our house. Working from home is overwhelming. We needed a hotel within 4 hours drive that would uphold public health recommendations, be secluded from crowds and still be luxurious and wonderful. Saratoga Arms was it. The hotel is small enough that we really only saw a few people and the place was full. Every effort was made to protect us from check in, to getting ice, to ordering amenities we needed so they were delivered/left at our door. Just everything felt safe ( and we are super COVID conscious) The Boutique hotel is perfectly appointed and has so many perks. Complimentary water-still and sparling, and snacks and a sumptuous gourmet breakfast that was plentiful and delicious. The lemon ricotta pancakes were to die for- and you could choose to be served on the glorious wrap around porch, in your room or in the socially distance tabled and historically decorated dining room. Our room, complete with a soaking tub and fireplace gave us the spot we craved to just chill out and enjoy different surroundings after days of driving around the incredible fall foliage of the Adirondacks.
We are also history buffs and hotel is full of beautiful antiques and historical treasures. We will go back!

My husband and I stayed at the Saratoga Arms for a weekend recently. The hotel has taken COVID very seriously, which we appreciated. The room was clean and even equipped with some Lysol wipes. We appreciated that we were asked about our comfort level with housekeeping and given a flexible option.
Breakfast was quite good and it was nice to eat on the porch. All in all, a very nice stay in a property that is well located downtown.
The walls in between the rooms are not the thickest and we could hear the tv from the room next door. Not an issue since it was a relatively quiet night, but if you’re a light sleeper you may want to ask for a more isolated room.

We stayed for 1 night after Thanksgiving and were completely satisfied with Saratoga Arms. Covid safety protocols were obvious and quite a welcome sight for us coming from NYC. Clorox wipes and hand sanitizer were in the already spotless room, breakfast can be ordered to your room, and the staff had their masks on. The room was spacious with a great view of the main street. The fireplace was the reason I chose this room. I'm glad I chose to stay in the "old" side of the hotel although the more modern rooms looked great too. I wanted a cozy feel and SA delivered! We had never been to Saratoga Springs but plan to come back in warmer weather to experience the area even more. We will definitely stay here again. It is so convenient to town and many attractions as well as restaurants and springs! Book it!

My husband & I stayed at Saratoga Arms to celebrate our 44th Anniversary and we loved every bit of it! I called to book via phone and Guest Service staff member Aidan was extremely helpful, efficient and welcoming. Within a few hours of reserving our room I received a survey so that our needs would be best served during our stay. Questions on the brief survey were preferred room temp, robe sizes, etc. We also received an email with a map and short video of where to park upon arrival (very easy, right near the Inn, but since the location is right in the heart of the busy Broadway, this was very helpful!) Our corner room in the beautiful historical Inn was immaculate and tastefully decorated. We reserved the room with breakfasts included for an additional fee and we’re so happy we did as the meal choices were wonderful and delicious each morning. The location of the Inn is truly in the heart of everything and we could walk to an abundance of boutiques, restaurants, etc. It was nice to come “home” each night and sit in one of the 2 parlors (each with a fire in the fireplace) and unwind. Wine is sold at the front desk by the bottle or glass or you can enjoy something you packed with you…very relaxing. The front porch is also a nice place to relax morning, noon or night! We will definitely return to this wonderful spot. The staff is top notch! Thank you to Geri, Aidan, Rachel (@ Front Desk AND in Dining Room!) and Bethany! This is hospitality at its best, look forward to coming back!

We stayed for a long unrushed weekend with my son & daughter-in-law & although it was our first visit at this hotel, we all felt as if we were valued guests who stayed on a regular basis. Kathleen & Amy Smith, the owners & managers of this property are always visible, always speaking with guests & always a wealth of information. We enjoyed spending time on what is surely one of the most comfortable & welcoming porches in town for wine before dinner or tea afterwards. Aiden was a delight, every morning greeting us on that same front porch for breakfast (even when it was a bit brisk), making us feel as if we could have sat there all day if we'd have wanted to. Rachel too, was always available and helped see to our every need. The hotel is immaculate both in the guest rooms as well as every public space of the hotel. We appreciated how they catered to the level of housekeeping each of their guests wanted, or more importantly, didn't want. We also loved how we were able to choose where we wanted our breakfast each day and at what time. Saratoga Arms is perfectly located right on Broadway - we walked to dinner every evening, were able to stop in to change, drop off our purchases or just grab a sweater without ever having to go out of our way. Even before we left, we all agreed that we'd return. If like us, you consider where you stay as an important part of your getaway experience, you will not regret choosing to stay here.

My Mom and I had a long weekend away in Saratoga. We decided to try a Bed and Breakfast instead of a larger, commercial hotel. Saratoga Arms was the perfect choice for us! The attention to detail, cleanliness and uniqueness sets them apart from most others. Breakfast is included daily and new menu options appear each day. The food was outstanding! Perfectly prepared, served on China, with real silver utensils. There are complimentary non-alcoholic drinks, full-size candy bars and snack bags of chips/pretzels, etc. available. There is a nice selection of wine and beer available to purchase. Each room is large and unique (some with fireplaces and/or outdoor areas), the ceilings are very high and the beds are super comfortable. The building (a restored brick mansion) is very convenient to many of Saratoga’s attractions. There is off-street parking available in their private lot, or there is a parking garage located at the rear of the building that offers 24 hour free parking, and is covered to protect vehicles from snow accumulation in winter, or direct hot sun exposure in the summer. These are just some of the things that we truly appreciated about Saratoga Arms. We are already planning our future trips there.

Although the location is ideal and our room was nicely furnished, the entire interior was a bit tired, dreary and somber. One if the biggest disappointments was the breakfast room which also functions as a meeting room. One of the highlights of a Bed and Breakfast is the breakfast and being served in a room brimming with ambiance. This room had none. True there was food served on china but that did little to elevate sitting on conference room chairs in a room totally devoid of charm. The halls could also benefit from a brighter color palette. For us, for the price it was a one time only stay not a 4 Diamond stay.

We pride ourselves on our attention to detail: offering modern amenities and conveniences while giving a nod to old world ambiance in our common areas. Our building was constructed in 1870 and we try hard to respect the historic nature of the hotel and appeal to the tastes of the modern traveler. I'm sorry that you felt that balance was lacking. You're correct that we do utilize our dining room as a meeting space when needed. Our guests love the floor-to-ceiling windows in the dining room, our upholstered dining chairs, bright lighting, crisp linen tablecloths and fine china service. We were happy to host you and hope you'll try us again in the future.

Sorry for the delay. Yes besides the whole downtown area with all the shops, and two parks with multiple springs in each. There is Saratoga Springs State Park, packed with Springs and sights through our. Great place to walk or bike. Have fun.
