This Hotel should be ashamed of themselves!!!! Back in December we had a night book and had to cancel due to Myself coming down with Covid 19. I honestly did not want to risk going because I did not want to give any Guest or Staff Covid as well as not feeling good. Fast forward I just called and tried to use the credit for a night stay “Midweek “and the Hotel due to the VERY STRICK policy for cancellation did not Honor the credit on the room and in fact tried to charge me almost double plus a resort fee!!!! I have stayed in 5 Star Hotels through out Europe and the in the States, and this is one of the Most shameful experience’s I have encountered. Everyone knows the strict guidelines we have all been asked to follow concerning Covid and precautions we should take. But for this Hotel the absolute bottom line is the Dollar!!!! That’s fine but my advice is Not to deal with this Hotel as they Truly don’t care about their guests or staff!!! It’s sad your customers care more about the Health of your guests and Staff than you do!!! Keep the money!!!! But shame on you!!!! But know this, Your Hotel has shown its True character and its shameful.

We recently enjoyed our 7th visit to this beautiful boutique hotel & can truly say that each trip has been special . The entire property is wonderfully maintained and our room is always fresh and immaculately clean on arrival and throughout our entire stay ( Housekeeping staff Karen , Minerva & Anamya are ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ ) . As always , we were treated like family by manager Sylvia & assistant manager Mary and their warmth and kindness are amongst the best memories of all of our stays . Patty & Peter Scharfenberger

We had such a wonderful experience staying here and dining in the Blackbarn restaurant. The staff were so accommodating, friendly and resourceful - not to mention the beautiful rooms and view. They made us feel like we were part of their family. I highly recommend ~Diane and Tony

Stay somewhere else! I booked this hotel specifically for the Waterside Spa they advertise as part of the hotel. It is a mile down the road, not at the hotel. The fitness center, classes, sauna, hot tub, and plunge pool were all closed when we stayed MLK weekend. I complained, told them they misrepresented their facilities on their website and should have informed me before check in. I was informed by the spa staff when I went for my treatment which they automatically include a 20% gratuity on. After a great deal of discussion with management, They agreed to refund me $100 for a two night stay and still wanted to charge me a $25 resort fee/ night. Laughable! The quality is not worth the price and beware of false advertising.

Best hotel in the Saugerties/Kingston area. The room was large, clean and decorated well. The view of the cascading dam from the balcony was beautiful. They light it up at night which is also a beautiful sight. The restaurant is excellent as well. The staff is very friendly, and accommodating .

I realized at the Diamond Mills that the true mark of a nice hotel is peace and quiet, and this hotel has that exactly. Blackout curtains, complete silence from neighbors and the street, and a wonderful staff -- including a helpful trainee. When you add in an incredible view of the waterfall, this is a place to stop. spacious rooms, heated floors in the bathroom --- choice.

Lovely view from our spacious room. Beautiful bathroom too. Staff was friendly and solicitous. Continental breakfast was ample and tasty. I thought there was a spa, but it hasn't opened yet. The restaurant wasn't open, so we didn't get to try it. It was a good place to celebrate our 40th anniversary

Posh boutique hotel with gorgeous views overlooking the falls. Service is extra ordinary. We arrived at 12 am with many children and were welcomed warmly despite the late hour. Marcello was extremely accommodating and switched the rooms for us so we can be next door to the children. Rooms were super clean and luxurious. Bedding was fluffy and soft. Marcello brought us extra blankets with a smile. The staff was attentive and patient with the kids. We woke up to the glorious sun and calming rushing of the falls. Nearby boating on the Hudson was beautiful and we even got a glimpse of the beautiful horses at the HIITS events nearby. Jack the manager was friendly and very invested in giving us a five-star experience. Terry was very helpful with reservations and personally went to get hot water for my coffee even though breakfast was over. She also accommodated us with late checkout as my toddler was ill. Highly recommend this hotel!

I had reserved the most expensive room - a suite. Arrived at 2:30pm. I said my name and that I was checking in. Without checking her computer first, I got a cold, "Check-in isn't until 3pm." I then told her that I'd paid for early check-in. "Oh." Then my husband and I were recited a laundry list of things we aren't allowed to do. This room was extremely expensive for the area. Nit-picky perhaps, but there was one choice of tea in the lobby..."Lipton's." Make an effort please. The pros are that the room was nice, clean and the people were generally nice.

Response from Front Desk, Guest Services / Front Office at Diamond Mills Hotel
Responded 14 Aug 2023
Dear vladkim, Thank you for staying with us and for sharing such thoughtful feedback. I'm truly sorry we missed the opportunity to provide you with a great initial impression of our hotel. Our front desk agent certainly could have handled your arrival better and I apologize for that lapse in service. We are currently in the process of revamping our breakfast offering and I absolutely agree that we could have a wider selection of more boutique teas. I appreciate that despite this you still mentioned the many positive aspects of your stay which further speaks to your integrity as a member of the Trip Advisor Community. The team and I would truly appreciate the opportunity to welcome you back with a superior hotel experience, as well as a special return rate. Please contact me directly at jack@diamondmillshotel.com to further speak about this. I'm confident we can really improve upon your last stay. Sincerely, Jack Manley Hotel Manager

We have just completed our 6th stay at Diamond Mills and feel fortunate to be able to spend time at such a special place . Within 100 miles of New York City it is the perfect place to settle in and explore the Hudson Valley , Catskills , Saugerties and the surrounding villages . The guest rooms and entire property are beautifully designed and meticulously cared for and consistently have a clean , fresh and new feeling and appearance . As always the magnificent view of the waterfalls provide a sense of peace and serenity .Above all , the magic ingredient is the friendly and welcoming people who make you feel at home and cared for while at Diamond Mills . General Manager Jack Manley , Front Desk Staff ( Sylvia , Valinda , Terry and Taylor ) and all at Housekeeping are professional and efficient at their respective jobs but also are wonderfully warm and kind people . Looking forward to our next visit ! Patty & Peter Scharfenberger
