We recently stayed at the Melody Lodge and I am guessing the older lady that checked us in was the owner because no employee can be that rude to a customer and keep their job. Just nasty miserable. She huffed and puffed every time we asked for something. I will say that the food was very good, the bartender, Sean...

The food is fantastic, the waitstaff is fabulous, and overall a great experience. The rooms are basic but clean and functional. I took my wife here for a day of snowmobiling in the Adirondacks and we had a great dinner and a place to sleep to get early start in the morning. I've had food here at least three different...

We selected the Melody Lodge while visiting the Adirondacks mainly because they were located in the southern half of the park and they were open. Many of the smaller accommodations had closed for the season. We chose to stay in Room #2 (the Violin Room) because the room offered a small balcony and a view of the two nearby lakes....

My husband and I have enjoyed drinks and dinners at this location a few times, but always in the fall. Today was a perfect summer day, so we took a ride up here for lunch. After being warned by some other friends that the lunch service policy wasn't immediately obvious for eating on the patio, we were forewarned to order...

When I was reading all those bad reviews I was shocked. Those sound like reviews made by their concurrents. I stayed with those people twice in 2013 and 2014. I'm satisfied. Friendly people (owners) and bartender too. They are polite enough and not annoying. I like this place.

Our group goes to the Melody Lodge every year and rent all the rooms upstairs for the weekend. The staff is great and helpful (especially the housekeeper!) The food is to die for. Walk out the door and hop on the trails, then come back and sit by the fire.

Decent view of the lake, but I suspect it would be spectacular during foliage season. Our room number 4 was good sidezed with two queens. The bed was too soft for my taste, but the room overall was nice. Hey, it was only $100, so it decent. Hot water for the shower comes and goes. Reminded me of my college...

We only intended to stay 1 night as we were travelling from Niagara Falls to Meredith near the White Mountain National Forest. It's in a really pretty location with great views. On entering we were greeted by the smell of open log fires with lots of wood and antiques but an unwelcoming glare by some people waiting to be seated...

My daughter selected Melody Lodge based only on 2 criteria 1) someplace in the Adirondacks 2) no more than a 5 hour drive from Buffalo. We didn’t know what to expect, nor did we set any expectations, we were considering this an adventure. The views were spectacular, the hospitality was warm and inviting, as was the lodge itself. Having traveled...

The last night of our 2700 mile road trip was spent at the Melody Lodge. Our room was like a dark wood-paneled cave. BUT, it had a balcony! Problem? WASPS!! The nest was about 4 feet away from the balcony. Problem solved: we were able to move to another room. Bigger room, wood paneling only halfway up the walls. Bigger...
