I want to start this off by thanking Mr. Tailer and his staff for making this stay so wonderful. As a large extending family, we had 7-8 rooms over several days for the graduation at West Point. It took only 30-35 minutes to get to West Point. The staff could not have made this stay any better. They took away a lot of stress from an already busy graduation week. The staff was very attentive and responsive. In addition to the rooms, we rented the meeting room for a graduation reception. The price was very reasonable. The staff had the room set up as we asked them to do, complete with table cloths and plenty of chairs. Room was spacious, clean, and well-equipped. Area was also nice in that there was a Target and other stores in a strip mall. Plenty of areas to walk if you like to exercise. The fitness center had lots of equipment and aerobic machines. Breakfast was made-to-order, but they also had to-go food available. If I had to say something negative about this place, then I'd say the parking is an issue as there doesn't seem to be enough of it. I would definitely stay at this place again.

Clean hotel. Friendly staff. Breakfast was fine- I liked the freshly made eggs. Good assortment of teas, which I appreciated. The hot water for the shower should have been warmer. The hotel should also consider adding better signage directing cars to the lobby entrance. Finally, the hotel should do its best to clamp down on guests speaking loudly in the halls during the late evening/early morning hours. A man was talking loudly on his cell phone in the hall at 12:30 in the morning. I called the front desk, but I’m not sure if anyone addressed the issue.

I've never heard of Element hotels but was excited to try them out for the first time. We booked a 1 night stay because we were attending a birthday party in the area and did not want to drive all the way back to Long Island afterwards. The hotel is in such a weird location - it is right behind a large strip mall and next to budget motel. We felt so confused when Google Maps made us turn into the shopping center...we thought we made a wrong turn (but we did not). PROS: The room has a fridge & microwave which is really convenient The bed was very comfy and we slept well Free breakfast and they have a cool espresso machine and you can make an espresso, americano, cappuccino, latte macchiato, etc CONS: The parking is awful. There aren't many spots available near the hotel entrance. The hot water in the shower wasn't hot enough at all. The water was lukewarm at best.

Very disappointing. We got in late and my wife tried to shower but said there was no hot water. Early the next morning I tried to shower and could not get any hot water. Shower handle was set so you could not get hot water and without tools there was no way to change it. There was plenty of hot water in sink but shower was too cold to get in. Coffee at breakfast looked and tasted like it was yesterday’s brew. There were lots of Sara Lee pastries for breakfast but were ice cold right out of frig and no microwave. Owner seems to be very focused on reducing costs without regard for guests’ comfort. I will not stay here again.

OMG!!!! The bagels and croissants must have been picked up from Rockland bakery from the three-day-old section, at Rockland bakery, Housekeeping was rude and half-cleaning didn't even mop the floors, The General Manager Chirog Tailor was rude and racist to people of color, We came there on the Marriott friends and family discount after a week of the price, The Gen. Mgr. Chirog Tailor didn't want to honor it and go against the Marriott Policy, I stayed for almost two months paying $143.00 per night, every without interruption at that price comes to $4000 for the month, So his desk clerk Karl probably the best and professional person they have working there with exception to the woman who works on just Sunday, what a sweetheart. Mind you, there were 20 other long-term guests who owed money almost up to $2000 dollars and were allowed to be there, wonder what price break that was....lol, so, I complained to Marriott Customer care about my treatment, and he Chirog Tailor the Gen. Mgr went up on the price to $199.00 USD dollars, Elite VIP Treatment don't buy it, only if your East Indian. Stay clear of anything owned by Bhatavi LLC, very racist to people of color.

I've waited a couple of days to calm down before writing this review, so that I could rationally write about our experience at this BELOW sub-par hotel. To begin, when I booked the hotel, I thought, hey this is great, not too far from West Point, new hotel, great prices! None of the reviews were bad, some were glowing in fact. When we had to drive behind the Target trash dumpsters to get to the "hotel" I knew we had made a mistake. First, you have to drive around to what feels like the back to get to the front of the hotel, there is no signage, hardly any indication at all that you are even in the correct place! The parking options are few unless you want to park by the before-mentioned Target dumpsters, then hey, have at it, there is plenty! Once you determine that yes, this must the entrance and you go on in, it's only to be greeted by dirty carpet, dirty hard floors, and even the sign-in counter was filthy. What the heck? It was so dirty, I even mentioned to the clerk that their counter was filthy. Both elevators and every floor was the same, just plain dirty, no vacuuming in sight. Trash piled up outside of rooms or the elevators. The only bright spots were the rooms themselves. Other than the broken items in the rooms (faucet loose on the bathroom sink, stopper not working on the bathroom sink, toilet seat wobbly, window shades not working properly, holes in the towels), the rooms were nice and beds/bedding were nice and clean. It truly was like the hotel was built two years ago and never maintained since then, just left to fall apart. What the heck Marriott, do you guys even visit any of these "hotels" that carry your name? Needless to say, we will have to be very, very desperate to book here again. Run, don't walk, the other way, and book at another hotel!

I don’t typically write reviews, but after reading some of these negative reviews I felt compelled to say what a wonderful stay we had. Front desk was welcoming and attentive. Everything was super clean. The room was incredible. We had a 1 bedroom with a king bed, and it included a living area and kitchen area. The living area had a comfy sectional couch and a huge, flat screen smart tv. I was actually planning on going out for the night, but decided to stay in because of how welcoming and comfortable the space was. And then there was the breakfast. I’ve never seen anything like this in a free hotel breakfast. There was an espresso machine that made espresso drinks, a Chobani yogurt bar, and an omelette and French toast station. I didn’t get the chance to go to the pool, but the front desk told me it’s kept at a warm temperature for swimming. I can’t recommend this place enough!

I was excited to find an element hotel passing thru New York on a random trip. As soon as I checked in I noticed the lobby was filthy. The elevators covered in dirt and hand prints. Walk dow the hallways and everything just looks torn up and beat up. The room for the most part was clean. The glass wear provided in the kitchenette was grimy and covered in I don’t know, nastiness. The bathroom it’s self was clean. Bedroom walls all patched up and gross stands on the window blinds. Was super disappointed in this stay. Didn’t have any breakfast because it wasn’t opened when when went to the lobby. But I don’t think I would have wanted to try it anyways. I should have read the review before spending the money and booking a night. Element for a newer hotel brand and being a Marriott hotel please read these reviews and clean up your act!

If I was able to I would give this place a negative stars ! Place is DISGUSTING ! Staff is HORRIBLE ! Here is a brief description of the issues 1) We booked this hotel because it was advertised to have 6:30Am breakfast daily (we had to be there somewhere so this was a good option) ..EVERY day breakfast was being SET UP at around 7-7:15 am ....Could NOT wait . Lady working there during breakfast - terrible attitude. As petty as it sounds they had NO MILK for couple days for coffee and when asked - the reply was "We don't have any today" NOTHING WAS READY AT 6:30 - other that bagged muffins. 2) Another reason we booked was to have accessible laundry .....none of the machines worked. (front desk reply to that was - "We didn't know it's not working") 3) MAJOR issue - DOG FECES in the hallways for DAYS . NOT cleaned. HAD to walk around it for days so we don't step in it 4) MAJOR issue ...guests of the hotel grilling on their personal grill in the back parking lot of the hotel ....NEXT TO parked vehicles (including ours) ...these people left the grill LIT UP and UNATTENDED for at least an hour. When we called the front desk to notify them ...NO ONE answered the phone. (Many times we noticed gentleman working the front desk was outside socializing or watching movies on his ipad at the desk) While these guests were grilling , they were bringing RAW MEAT outside and it DRIPPED all over the mail hallway ...those stains stayed like that for days - NO ONE cleaned it . Had to have kids walk around dog feces and raw meat drippings (i saw them personally bringing it out) so they do not step in it. 5) Guests smoking right by the exit back door - not enforced by the staff 6) Garbage bags left in the hallways - terrible smell 7) Peeling ceiling in the "dining" area - debris literally falling on the ground 8) Broken shower knob in the room, broken door hook in the room, broken towel holder in the room. When we told front desk - we were told our room will be changed next day. When the same front desk gentleman saw us next day - he completely ignored us. Room was NEVER changed . 9) DIRTY & MESSY in the lobby ....food that was spilled - not cleaned. Coffee stains on counter in the morning . Absolutely disgusting. After all these complaints - so called "investigations" was done and it was determined that the hotel did nothing wrong - BECAUSE that's what they said. WE HAD PICTURES of issues described above and the corporate office took the staff word against ours ...like the staff will admit to these issues ...JOKE ! Our pictures contradicted everything the staff said - but they STILL took their side! This was the WORST hotel BY FAR we have EVER stayed at - One word to describe it is FILTH ! They compensated us with return of one night stay and points ....we took it BECAUSE if we did not they would completely get away with this ! DEFINITELY DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE !
