The room itself was rundown, walls are broken, smells like mold, water pressure was way too low, beds were uncomfortable, window was cracked, lots of screaming from other guests so the walls were thin, and door was broken. Definitely choose something else if you can

This hotel should be condemned! Marijuana smell and trash throughout the while property—it truly felt like a third World country! The Broken window upon parking was my 1st sign of problems—loud noises all night long! It reminded me of a rehab/mental hospital facility, and or section 8 housing. >GROSS!

Worst hotel I’ve ever stayed at. We only were in town for 1 night and the room was more expensive than what the value was. Stains on the carpet, cigarette marks on the walls, a constant slamming in the walls all night long as we slept. The whole lobby smelt like cigarette smoke. The weirdest thing about our stay was the pile up of Target carts up and down the hallways! I’ve never stayed somewhere where I felt so uncomfortable and grungy. I will never be back and I wish I could get my money back for all the things that were awful with our stay.

First impression was how shabby it was and no desk clerk. Check in was fine but the smell of marijuana throughout the hotel leads one to imagine they're growing it. The hotel is dirty but when the staff were at the desk they were fine. My keycard demagnetized each day. Not the hotel's fault but there is also a train that goes by several times. Bring earplugs if you're a light sleeper.

If you can't afford to keep your Hotel acceptable and respectable then please sell it to someone who will! So low quality!! Disgraceful that any state authority would allow this hotel to operate. Stay away! All reviews you see here are true!

We booked for two nights at the Quality Inn Spring Valley - Nanuet through Hotwire, from the 28th of October to the 30th of October 2022. We booked the rate as "Hotel chooses bed type", but never before have we had issues requesting a room with two beds with this format upon checking in. We arrived at the hotel before check-in time, around noon, and were told that it was impossible to check in, that all rooms were occupied and that we would have to come back. The employee did not even check if there were rooms ready when he told us it was impossible to check in early nor did he offer to keep our luggages in a safe area until we came back to check in, which has never happened to us before. We asked if we would be able to get a double bed and he assured us that it would be no issue once we came back. We came back later in the evening, around 9pm, after a long day. Upon entering the hotel lobby, we were hit with a strong smell of marijuana which we later realized came from the employee working at the desk. He kept an AirPod in his ear the entire time we were interacting with him. We started checking in and the employee started asking us questions that made us uncomfortable for our safety. We are two women travelling together and he started getting too interested in where we came from, our itinerary, if it was only just the two of us travelling and staying the night at the hotel. When we asked if we could get a room with two beds, if there was one available, he told us he could not do it, that we had booked one bed. We asked if there was a way to make a change, or pay an extra fee if we had to, and he agreed, but requested that we pay $20 in cash only. That was when we noticed a piece of paper glued to the screen telling guests to request a receipt for any cash transaction. We requested a receipt and he only gave us one for the room, not for the extra fees that he had just charged us. One of us headed upstairs while the other attempted once more to get a receipt, to no avail. The hotel was, for lack of a better word, disgusting. The carpets were stained, there were ceiling tiles missing, garbage was left unattended in the hallway. We stepped into the room and got such a bad feeling about it that we started checking for hidden cameras or other such equipment that you hear about in horror stories; this is how unsafe we felt given the interaction we'd just had with the employee and the state of the hotel. After only a couple of minutes, we decided we could not stay there and started looking for a room in another hotel in the area, at nearly 10pm at night, after an exhausting day. We did not care if we would never get reimbursed, we just needed to get out of there. While we were looking, the employee from the front desk knocked on our room door and said that he had talked to his manager and was waiving the $20 fee, coincidentally after we had insisted several times to get a receipt for it. The smell of marijuana from the lobby lingered in the room and the hallway after he had left. We went back down and checked out of the hotel. The employee then asked for our phone number for his manager to call us the next day. We declined, saying our phone lines do not work in the United States, as we were travelling from Canada. He then said we would see a reversal of the charges on our card in the next three days, which we have not seen. The hotel is not declining our request for a refund. Do not stay there. They are crooks who will make you choose between losing money or sleeping in squalor.…

Do not stay here. To many grievances for 200 characters. Low lights are dirty, bug ridden, humid room, reeks of cigarettes, door frame was broken, BLOOD stains on the shirts!!! Unprofessional staff refused refund 39 minutes after checking in.

I was visiting family over the weekend and decided to stay at the quality Inn based on the reviews I read. I don’t know who could be rating this a four or five star hotel. I usually stay at the Hampton or Hilton Garden Inn nearby on route 59. They are always in good shape and clean with friendly and helpful staff. This was not the case for Quality Inn. I chose it based on reviews and proximity to the highway. I stayed there many years ago and the hotel was fine, clean friendly staff then. However that was not the case this time. They appear to be under some renovation right now. That was not apparent when I made the reservation or I would’ve chosen differently. However the staff is not very welcoming not rude but not very caring. The smell of smoke in the rooms is unacceptable. This is supposed to be a smoke free hotel somebody was smoking and I smelled it in my room. The hallway on the second floor where I stayed was not vacuumed there were crumbs. I arrived at 4 o’clock in the afternoon you would expect the hotel to be clean and ready to accept visitors. From the outside you could see the window screens that were torn and not replaced on windows. I was very surprised at the overall run down appearance and unfortunately I did stay there even though it was my inclination to cancel my reservation and go to another hotel. In my room the only thing that was in good shape was the sink that appeared to be new and the entry floor. The bed looked like it needed to be replaced the shower was not particularly clean looking although it had been cleaned. The curtain that hangs on the window was falling off of the curtain track and had holes when the lights were off you could see at night through the tears. Although they were not large tears so I did not see them in the daylight. The mini refrigerator was clean. I was charged enough money for this hotel that to expect far better conditions.I would not recommend this hotel.…

Despite checking the room for bedbugs, they attacked me during the night. I awoke at 1:00 a.m. to find them in my bed and biting me. I told the front desk and the clerk was completely unconcerned. I demanded a refund and was told the manager had to authorize it. I was promised I would get a call from the hotel manager. I have called two more times over three days with no call and no refund. I am completely disgusted. I checked out at 1:30 a.m. and drove all night to get home. I was unable to attend the event I had driven there to attend. Avoid this hotel!

I dont know how this hotel still working with this rate 90$ for old and disgusting stuffs, attendant unhelpful , so need to improve , location ok. Renew will be a good thing . Poor , breakfast same Nothing , and every thing was dirty ………………………..
