This was our 12th visit to the ranch and we continue love coming here. This was our first visit since it switched ownership and changes have already been made to improve the ranch. The new owners were very visible and it was nice touch to have them present during dinner and at the Red Dog saloon. It's evident that they... More

The people there were freindly and very helpful. They had activities directors for adults and for children and they planned different activities at the resort and nearby. We went white water rafting which was amazing and good for all ages, I am 52 and my husband is 54. We also kayaked on the Hudson river. The horseback riding was good... More

We went there because ranches near new York got booked up or don't accept pet due to long weekend. This ranch, a little farther, but takes our dog, whom we can't leave behind. We found out that the ownership just changed for 70 days. New owners are working very hard to improve the facilities and staffing. But they inherited a... More

This past weekend I attended a Line Dance Weekend at the new Stony Creek Resort (formerly the 1,000 Acres Ranch and Resort) in the Adirondack Mountains. The new owners are in the process of fixing up the place and they are doing a wonderful job. The food was wonderful and plentiful, the front desk was more than helpful and the... More

My friend and I found this unlikely spot for a weekend getaway. We didn't know what to expect when we pulled up and the place seemed deserted. We came during their last off-peak week, but to our surprise we had the best time ever! Our cabin was clean and cozy, we had the Hudson as our back yard and a... More

I do have to agree that the ranch needs TLC and hope it does get sold and the new owners give it the TLC needed. The staff could not have been any nicer. They went out of their way to please you. Breakfast had all your basic food plus a couple specials. Lunch was your basic lunch meat, a hot dish... More

Although the rooms aren't that of a 5 star hotel, the rest of the place makes up for it 5X over! The friendly staff. the awesome food, and trail rides on real trails, thru the woods, not on boring dirt roads, music, dancing, and beautiful scenery can't be beat! This is our 6th or 7th time staying at the ranch... More

We loved it! It was rustic, our cabin had a beautiful view of the river. Met great families, relaxed by the pool, guys went riding, we went tubing, white water rafting, Sat in the Jacuzzi, played in the staff/guest baseball game, best 4 days ever. The meals were great, staff very accommodating. We can't wait to go back! If you... More

We just spent our first annual Mother/ Daughter/Sister/Cousin getaway at 1000 Acre Ranch. It was all we hoped it would be and more. My sister and I like to get together with our daughters -all adults now- for a long weekend, and this year we wanted to try something different. I had ridden horses before- but not the rest of... We just stayed at 1000 acres at the end of June for 3 nights. We were a big group with 5 kids and 9 adults. We booked 4 deluxe cabins with river view. The cabins were simply furnished but clean and plenty roomy for our needs. The food was excellent; breakfast to order with fruit/donuts/cereal while you waited for your... More
