The hotel is well located, the rooms are clean and well designed, and the staff are friendly and efficient. We stayed at the place after attending a concert a half-hour drive away in Saratoga Springs, NY -- where all the hotels were booked -- and found it to be convenient and enjoyable. We arrived at the place at around 11 pm to find the night staff cheerful and helpful. The hotel lobby is cozy. A good buffet-style breakfast was served in a pleasantly decorated dining room (but Hilton: please add hard-boiled eggs to the offerings!). All was neatly presented. My only beef is that the room cost a little over $250, a hefty price for a chain hotel in Troy. But after all, it was a summer weekend night.

The hotel was very clean. The linen was soft and thick. The beds are comfortable. The pillows were plentiful. Having the Keurig machine with K cups was a plus. Microwave and small refrigerator were helpful in the room. The parking lot was convenient and large enough for everybody. The pool was adequate size and the fitness room was all set up.
The only options in the hotel for breakfast was sit down and order specifics or sit down and order buffet . Nothing quick to grab on the go or eat quick if needing to get to an event

We enjoyed an extender stay late July into Aug 2024. (Very high temperatures) our room was very comfortable -both amenities and air conditioning. We did have an air conditioner that stopped, we reported it at the service desk and were immediately assigned to a different room.
All the employees we saw we spoke to. To a person they were well spoken, friendly and engaging. A super happy lady Radj -
)Abbreviated) made us smile each time we saw her in the dining area.
We truly enjoyed our breakfast experience. Although we could have ordered from the menu we chose the buffet which was well appointed (pastries especially) and very satisfying. In the category of Exceptional Service we have to name Jeanne. We met her at our first
breakfast. As she poured our coffees it was evident this was one special lady. She introduced herself ,learned our names and throughout our stay called us by name. She conversed with us and every other guest. She went out of her way to make us feel special. One breakfast there was a fire evacuation .
We went to the dining area after fire department sounded the all clear and found out that our Jeanne had assisted a distressed guest who needed help turning on her oxygen machine (which required Jeanne to find the key) and put it on her. Jeanne knew to use calming techniques to help the guest get the full benefit of her oxygen. Kudos to Hilton Garden Inn Troy, NY.
We knew the location was perfect but now we know where we’ll go even if it’s not convenient!!

I really liked this hotel in the past. But this last trip was not very impressive. On arrival I was not greeted politely, even though I was the only person in the lobby. My room smelled of mildew and the AC was turned off so it was uncomfortably hot and stuffy. I tried to open the windows but for one person it was impossible to hold the two latches open while trying to lift. So I turned on the AC and went to the restaurant to get take out. This was the high point of the stay. Upon returning to the room it was cooler but still smelled. When I turned on the TV it was disconnected from the cable. The front desk sent a housekeeper to reboot it about 30 mins latter. By that time I didn't watch it and went to bed. The next morning the front desk staff didn't even acknowledge me when I dropped off the keys. No eye contact what so ever. Oh and charging $12+ for breakfast and $2 for a 500ml bottle of drinking water in your room is a little much for a hotel like this. There are to many better hotels close to RPI for me to stay there again.

Our stay was bad all around except for the restaurant there. When we got to our room I immediately went to the restroom, unfortunately I didn't look to see if there was toilet paper, because why wouldn't there be. There were two empty rolls, not even 1 square. We left the room and went to eat, which was really good, then stopped at the desk to ask for toilet paper. The man asked us if we had towels uhhhh we didn't even look because there were hand towels. About 10 minutes after getting back to room, someone brought us some toilet paper. I went to put it in the bathroom....no towels! Called the desk and they brought 2 towels. The room kept getting hot unless we got up and moved around so the sensor would acknowledge we were there. I wouldn't go into the bathroom without shoes on because we also found pubic hairs in there. The next morning after cleaning out the shower, I shampooed and then put conditioner on my hair and when I went to use the body wash it was completely empty! Saying a few choice words, I had to get out of the shower dripping wet to reach for the hand soap. All of this is completely unacceptable and shows how long it has been since this bathroom was truly cleaned. We stay at Hilton hotels all of our trips but this will be the one and only time we stay at this one. When we left they said nothing. Didn't ask about our stay nothing.

Good location for RPI events, about a mile and walkable. Lots of parking available. Room was a nice size and clean, but a bit dated. Staff very friendly. The main street, Hoosick, is busy. If your room faces the street, you can hear cars whizzing by all night.

It was hard to get the room to be the right temperature, it was cool outdoors, but the heat was too hot, and with the slightest change to thermostat, the A/C came on and was really loud. We ended up turning it off altogether which worked for us. Also the shower pressure weak.

Breakfast was included with our booking. It was ok, but scrambled eggs were cold, even right after they refilled the container. Although there was enough other options, incuding fresh fruit, oatmeal, toast, bagels, muffins, etc.

This is our Go-To place. My husband and I stay here three or four times a year when we come to visit our son in Latham. We’ve tried several other hotels in the Albany area and have found this place to be the best. Professional staff, friendly and always accommodating to our needs. Our rooms have always been spotless, and never a sticky bathroom floor, like some other places. Towels soft and white and comfortable beds. Breakfast area clean ( and not near an entrance door, so the room is not drafty). Even their breakfasts are better than other Hiltons, the potatoes are fresher and hot!

Overall, a very nice hotel. Registration on the second level. You have the entry level (BL) the registration level (L) and the third level (ML). Parking is free. Hallways, elevator, and room clean and well maintained. My only complaint was a busted Keurig machine. Did not try to use it until early morning, so had to go downstairs for coffee. Breakfast is not free, but the breakfast area is beautiful with wonderful coffee. For $12 You have a choice of either a cooked to order breakfast or a bountiful buffet. The buffet is well worth the money.

I am a very big Hilton fan. I usually seek out a Hilton Brand Hotel when traveling. We decided to stay at the Hilton Garden Hotel while in the Troy area and we were not disappointed. The rooms were very reasonably priced, very spacious and well appointed. Staff was very nice and breakfast was served in a beautiful diningroom as opposed to the usual cafeteria style set up. Rahayu was our server while in the dining room and she was extremely pleasant and personable. There was another very attentive and friendly woman assisting us as well but unfortunately we did not catch her name.
There is an excellent Sports Barn on the lower level that has excellent food. Love the fact that we didn’t have to leave the premise once arriving.
I will definitely stay at this hotel when in the area.

I have found the rates for this hotel to fluctuate between $125-$165 per night. Rates seem to be lower when the hotel is fairly empty and rise (of course) when it is almost full. It is a busy hotel, but it is extremely well run. .

The rate is per night, but you may be able to get a discount for AAA, AARP, and Hilton's member program.
