Looking for a romantic getaway for my husband and myself for the weekend, I was dreaming of a place that had the feel of home and yet luxurious amenities that made us feel like we were on vacation. We had booked a wine tour at Seneca lake for Saturday, so on Friday night I wanted to try a bed and...

My husband and I had a free Saturday and Sunday and decided to go on a scouting mission since we are renting a vacation home in July on Cayuga lake. We did a lot of searching for a place and came upon Halsey house that offered one night stay as well as a fireplace in the room which in march...

Needing to attend a funeral in Trumansburg, we were delighted that the Halsey House could accommodate both us and our daughter on short notice. The food was more than tasty, the decor of the rooms and general areas was lovely, and our hosts were efficient and helpful as well as very personable. Extras included hot/cold water coolers for the 24/7...

My husband and I had barely time for a one night escape and as I scoured the area, I happened upon the website for this Inn. All the information and photos presented were perfect and as we discovered this past Saturday, it was exactly as presented. The home sits on a corner and is such a beautiful treasure, there is...

I stayed here for one night this past weekend, and I'm looking forward to returning. I generally stay away from B&Bs because they are often too frilly and there is too much forced socializing. However, this B&B and the owner are completely different. Another reviewer mentioned that the owners were unobtrusive yet helpful. I agree. Also, the amenities were great...

We stayed in mid- January for our 25th wedding anniversary weekend getaway. We were welcomed by Mitch, and given a tour of their historic home, which is absolutely beautiful, and wonderfully decorated. We then were shown to our room, which has a king size bed with luxurious linens and a gas fireplace. The room is decorated with fabulous antiques. But...

We were greeted by Mitch who was ready to help us with our belongings even before we got out of the car. He showed us the house which was awesome. He took us to our room which was fabulous. We stayed in the Indulgence. The bed was heavenly, the fireplace was great, and the bathroom was gorgeous and relaxing. KC...

Thank you so much for such comfortable accomadations. Breakfast was delicious both mornings of our stay. We got to your Bed and Breakfast stressed out and exhausted. When we left after 2 nights we were relaxed and ready to face the real world once again. We will definitely be back in the future.

Our intention was to get some major unwinding and relaxation from this modern American life and we succeeded with flying colors. Our room was called "Serenity" and it definitely lived up to its title. From the uber-comfortable king sized bed to the mood relaxing in-room fountain, mellowness was found immediately with our first night's sleep. Mitch is the ultimate host...

We have been regular guests of the Halsey House for the past four years while our daughter has been a student at Ithaca College (just 15 minutes away). Besides being our favorite place to stay while up in the Ithaca and Trumansburg, New York area, it is by far our very favorite B&B or inn that we have visited anywhere!...
