We almost always stay here for our weekend get aways to hike a peak or two or more. Wayne and Amy are very kind, attentive hosts, but are not intrusive, and are always easy to get a hold of, even if they are not immediately at the office. They provide a perfect breakfast for a morning before a hike, and will do their best with any requests you might have - even arranging for hot coffee in the wee hours for those early hikes! Rooms are very comfortable, quiet, and warm. Very relaxing. Don't expect the frills of the more expensive hotels, but very quiet and comfortable if you are simple and easy to please. If you want a TV there is a nice great room you can lounge in, and a game room for entertainment. We will keep coming back again and again.
Wayne and Amy were wonderful and very helpful. You can tell that they take pride in their Inn and care about the people that stay here. You will find little touches of love all over the property, The rooms are simple, but very comfortable and clean. We would have loved a better breakfast but due to hiring shortages and COVID, they offered a breakfast bag with a hard boil egg, fruit, juice and granola bar. This wasn't enough for me, but I was prepared and brought Jimmy Dean Breakfast sandwiches and warmed them up in the microwave. The location is great. Close to Lake Placid and close to Whiteface Mountain. This was the first time I stayed in the area and staying at ADK Trail Inn complemented our visit.
A friend and I stayed at the ADK Trail Inn for a one-night trip to Lake Placid. Check-in (no contact) was simple, and the room was just what we needed! A hot shower, comfortable bed, and hearty breakfast were everything we needed. Hard floors were an unexpected bonus, and added to the cleanliness while still feeling like a cozy cabin. Amy called a few weeks earlier to ask about changing our room to make space for someone with a longer stay. She was friendly and understanding, and we were happy to make it work for this small business.
As always had a great time, stayed in the Serenade room was great. Amy and Wayne are awesome hosts. Was a wonderful Valentines weekend getaway with my fiance. It was quiet and warm, made a fire in the fireplace, was a total relaxing wxperience.
There's nothing fancy about these accommodations, but they are warm, comfortable, and a perfect place to return to for a hot shower after those cold winter hikes. The game room is well-stocked and hanging around the woodstove is fun. A packed breakfast and hot coffee are prepared in time to get on the trail early. The entire experience feels very homey and casual. Wayne & Amy were attentive and the rates are more than reasonable for what you get. We will certainly stay again as we continue our Winter46 journey.
