We decided to book our stay not taking into consideration the warnings of the other Trip Advisors' users, as the location looked ideal for us. That was our big mistake. It seems that for some people the experience can be good for others a nightmare. Well, we had the bad draw and needed to leave the place under the insults...

Biggest regret of our trip to Mauritius was staying at the Palms Apartments in Le Morne. The view is beautiful as is the garden. However, the host clearly has no sense how to treat people and gets aggressive, abusive, erratic and rude. The apartments are very simple with no AC and with half the apartment (living room and kitchen) being...

First of all, if you are coming to Mauritius from far away europe or so. Trust me, Le Morne is THE pearl of the entire island. The ocean crystal clear, the beaches beautiful and miles long. AND the mountains and jungle that surrounds Le Morne are incredibly beautiful. No where else on Mauritius you will find this combination. 10-15 min...

I came to Mauritius with my partner for a sporting (kitesurfing) holiday and stayed at the Palms Apartments in Le Morne. Our experience was a positive one from the accommodation to the kitesurfing conditions at the local kite spot. The accommodation was homely and definitely a little quirky. The view from our villa was amazing and we made good use...

Complete nightmare. The place itself is great but the owners are clearly a bit unstable to say the least. During our stay we found that they were in the middle of an ugly divorce, both incredibly trying to get us to pick sides(!) We left overnight and fled to a hotel nearby when the husband suddenly turned up one night...

When you enter your apartment you will find a plate with the property laws that prohibit noise after 22 pm and before 9 am. This includes Skype calls, mobile phone usage and crying babies. I asked the owner and he is serious about that. This is not a joke. If you have a baby, this is not the place to...

Right in the middle of nowhere - no beach (20-30 min walk), no restaurant, no shop, no nice host! Expect to pay extra 5 EUR/day for everything that is free everywhere else on the island (Internet, aircon) and when you decide to leave that place the hosts will follow you with insulting e-mails for weeks. There are much nicer places...

This is not a good choice if one wants to go to the beach. You always have to go through the Paradis hotel (and discuss with the guards whether to pay anything or not) to a rather unpleasant beach (about 15 to 20 min walk) or walk along the main road for 30 min. There is nothing around the apartment...
