There are two refuges here. We were in the upper one. Apart from the place makes you feel like you have been captured and are a prisoner of war due to the walls around it, don't go there. The place is absolutely filthy. We were doing trek 3 summits over the 3 days. Only one toilet working properly, no hot...

Located in the mountain of toukbal, this refuge was like a traditional youth hostel it had basic showers and disgusting public toilets. The rooms were beyond freezing in the nights and there was damp on the ceiling. On the plus side the views were brilliant and at least we had a bed to sleep in for the night.

This is a good base camp refuge. It has everything you require from a refuge: Shared dorm, smelly toilets, large communal areas and a buzz from the locals. Care is taken to clean the refuge daily which is hard work for such a transient guests. The place was tidy and warm. Noise at night/in the morning is from the guests...

If you have experience with the mountain huts in the Alps, Pyrenees, or Dolomites, you'd probably judge this one as good, but not great, but it is certainly a welcome respite on the trail. Morocco does not have the same trekking traditions as those other areas, so many of the overnight accommodations along existing routes are very basic or non-existent....

French refuge where I stayed is clean and well maintained. It is run by Alpine Club Francoise so is very popular among the foreigners. The prices are cheap as the Club is a main sponsor and supporter to Refuge budget. In late December I have found plenty of snow around and very cold temperaturę.

This hut is 4-5 hours walking from Imlil. At the end of valley you can find two huts. We stayed in this French Refuge du Toubkal. Here you can sleep in dormitories for 230DH, which are full of blight, take rich dinner 70DH and fresh brakfast for 30DH. Also plenty of soda (15DH), cereal sticks to be available. You can...

It was more or less ok except the toilets which were quite gross. The smell was intense and they were pretty dirty. The food however was plenty and ok. It took us under 3 hours to get there from Aroumd. Next time I’d rather stay at the nicer but pricier Refuge Les Mouflons next to the CAF Refuge.

Can get busy as it is the main hut for morning ascents of the Mt Toubkal. Dorm has lots of people and there can be a lot of noise. Phone charging done in the living room. Bring your own donkey with food and they will prepare it for you

The Refuge provides great support for trekkers. The beds are simple, food great, toilets clean. Because of the bad weather we had to stay two nights, but we had great time. The crampons can be rent also here. Happy to recommend!

Well two of my friend and I went to Mount Toubkal and stayed there for a night to acclimatize. This place was the cheap option compare to the other camp. Too many people slept in the same room. No ventilation in the room. Only 5 toilets for about 100 plus people. No handrail on the roof terrace, which is very...
