Three nights long was our stay in this outstanding place. We enjoyed every bit of our stay. First of all the very welcoming hosts, that made the stay extraordinary. They cared very well for us and made everything to make our stay memorable. The room was very comfortable, the main building and the other places to stay including the sundown...

Our room was simple, stylish and comfortable with quite a good view. The Lodge lounge area was full of artifacts and was pleasant with good service at meal times. The food was good and served at a communual table which is not really our thing - too much like boarding school. Having said that we were travelling with friends who...

Dear Lynton, Thanks for your review and feedback - glad to see I'm not the only one who gets boarding school flashbacks then! Appreciate your feedback on the sundowners and agree we could have communicated this better. Our margins sadly are too small as a small lodge not to charge but we will communicate this better from here on. Thanks...

We just had a wonderful stay at Three Trees. The service and staff are all friendly and go the extra mile to make the stay perfect. We highly recommend the battlefield tour, which was a highlight of the trip. The food is wonderfully fresh, having been grown on the farm, and each meal was delicious. The rooms and the views...

As an avid follower of Military history and a keen birder Three Trees was brilliant. The setting was gorgeous overlooking the Spioenkop Nature Reserve and Spioenkop itself. The lodgings were in a superb position (see pictures), privately positioned and very comfortable. The thing that we enjoyed the most was the human touch. It was a special time eating together with...

Travelling in SA with nothing booked is not daunting esp when you meet hotel owners with a group of his guests doing a talk on the Boer War. We were offered the chance to come and see his place and are we so pleased we did. On arrival we were taken to the Churchill Suite. It's a 2 room cottage...

Wonderful 4 days in the African bush. Amazing views of the drakensburg. Stayed at Three Trees for my mothers 70th birthday. Three families, with plenty of activities for parents and kids alike. From the fantastic mountain bike ride with Brent to the horse riding with Cheryl and the guided game walk with Simon. True family atmosphere with Cheryl and Simon's...

And we can understand why. Everyone here is committed and caring. We were warmly welcomed and shown to our cabin. It looked much more simple than it was. There was everything we needed, and the huge bed had wonderful linens and soft pillows and the towels were big and fluffy. The toiletries are eco friendly, the whole place shows consideration...

We did the battlefield trip arranged by the lodge which was excellent the guide I think was called Ron and he was very knowledgeable and you actually felt like you were...
