I spent three nights here at the start of my trip and thoroughly enjoyed it. The manager, George, inspired huge respect in me as he is clearly so at home in the bush and not only speaks Swahili but has tremendous knowledge which he freely imparts. On arrival I have to say that I cringed a bit at the concept...

The team here are are very experienced and make looking after you easy. Lodges were upmarket and as expected were well maintained-food was good and lunch on the lake in a boat was a great first. Game drives were covered by experienced guides who consulted you on what you wanted to see

I stayed here for 2 nights in February. Right before they close for the rainy season. It is best to pick your time to come as animals can be hard to find at certain times and weather can be hot and humid. That being said, we had a wonderful time. The staff is excellent and always makes sure you are...

This was our first Safari and I tried hard to get a mix of the Safari excitement and 5 star accommodation and food. Now on our return I am very pleased with the choice we made. The staff and management at Siwandu were fantastic, nothing was too much trouble, and the resorts accomadation was excellent. You certainly new you were...

I have mixed feelings about a Siwandu and Selous reserve. There are not huge herds of animals - some days you drive a long way without seeing anything.....however the vehicles and guides are brilliant. We saw 3 families of elephants though the largest family only had 9 elephants, a small pride of lions, the painted dogs, giraffes, hyenas, hippos, crocodiles,...

Thank you so much for taking the time to share your experiences of Siwandu and Selous - what a treat to see Wild Dog! With only 5000 left in the world it is such a privilege to see them in the wild. We are sorry you felt our food was over complicated - as you can read from our other...

Fabulous spot. We were the only two guests so we were thoroughly spoiled rotten. Our butler was Onesco, a real gentleman. Our guide was Mpoto, a very knowledgeable guy who found lots of interesting things for us to see. We had another guide called Macula who was learning the trade and very keen. The manager was Suzanna, she was most helpful...

Wow!!! Well where do I start? First off I will mention that this review is a little late. However I've not stopped traveling, though I had to put a review in for this amazing experience I had at Siwandu. Let me start off by saying Emma and George and all of the stay at Siwandu went Above and Beyond any...

We stayed at Siwandu for four nights and were thrilled with the experience. My wife's birthday was the occasion and given the excellent reviews and guest experiences, thought this would take care of itself. I can truly say that the staff under George and Emma's leadership came up with activities I could only dream of. The staff of the camp,...

We stayed in Siwandu for 4 nights and it was probably the best safari experience we have had. The camp is located overlooking a lake which is rather shrunken at the moment as the rains have not arrived. We could still see animals coming down to drink in the morning and hippos walk close by every night and in the...
