The hotel is nicely decorated and comfortable. There is one room which is close to a water pump and a bit noisy at night but we asked for another one which was fine from the second night with a small view to the sea. Overall a recommended place to stay.

We stayed 2 nights in Stone Town and were looking for a $100-$150 a night hotel since we really splurged on our resort in Nungwi. This place definitely doesn't disappoint. The staff was so incredibly friendly and helpful - they picked us up from the airport at 5am in the morning and didn't charge us extra for checking in to...

My husband and I recently had the pleasure of staying at the Seyyida hotel and spa. We were welcomed like family and during our stay in our luxurious room we wanted for nothing as the friendly staff looked after us so well. Definitely somewhere we will be visiting again!

We were so impressed by the warm welcome and hospitality we received at this beautiful hotel in the middle of Stonetown. The staff went out of their way to make our stay unforgetable. They even had a wonderful surprise: our spacious well decorated room was filled with balloons and somebody must have taken her time to decorate our beds with...

Now that was a good showing of Zanzibarian hospitality. Starting from the time i was picked up at the airport, jumping into the air-conditioned cab (that the hotel organised on my behalf) that took me to the Seyyida Hotel ideally situated in the heart of Stone Town. An oasis in the soul of the city with its unique architecture and...

we stumbled upon this hotel accidentally while searching for accommodation during the extremely busy weekend when Stone Town hosts the annual African Music Festival. when we went there, there was no room available but the manager (who is really a wonderful, warm-hearted lady) asked us to rest there while sending out someone to look for rooms in other hotels. since...

We recently returned to the Seyyida for a second visit and were just as pleased with the place as the first time. Wonderful friendly staff who are very helpful. The rooms are lovely, clean and spacious - perfect family room for my husband, me and our 3 kids. Restaurant on the terrace has an awesome vibe, great staff and delicious...

We just loved our stay at Seyyida Hotel, we would have stayed there again, when returning to Stone Town but they were booked out. Our room was the best one we had across all Tanzania, and hotel was very reasonable price. Just loved the hotel foyer, courtyard and rooftop restaurant and lounge. All staff were genuine and friendly. Can also...

From the friendly (and might I say extremely helpful) staff who greet you upon arrival (and cater to any request), to the views, amenities and general cleanliness of Seyyida, it is an easy hotel to recommend! The rooftop restuarant provides unparalleled views of Stone Town and it is centrally located to every popular tourist attraction. Bottom line:If you want to...
