Stayed 1 night before going on to beach resort. Interest place, lots of character. Our room was lovely, but size was a bit disappointing, very small, tiny bathroom (the risk of a character building), other rooms where very large and roomy. We were only 2 (1xcouple) of 3 people staying there at the time. Hotel is right in the middle...

This hotel has incredible views. I stopped in on the top floor terrace after a stone town tour for a quick drink and a bite to eat. Lunch prices are very reasonable, and the sesame chicken and mango wrap was delicious. Also the views from the roof top deck was incredible.

Cons: Noisy at nights but hardly the hotels fault Menu is limited and could do with more choice, especially if staying more than one night. Aesthetics could be better but...

We had a really great time staying here for two nights. The service was really great - Mona and Suzan looked after us really well throughout our stay. They organised two trips for us, both of which were really great. We had the Dunia Suite on the top floor. As lots of other reviewers have mentioned, there are rather a...

I visited the hotel with my husband for only 1 night but that was enough to experience the hospitality and undivided attention from the staff. Our luggage got lost on the way by the airline so we ended without anything but they made sure to provide us with all the necessities such as toothbrushes and advised us where to purchase...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Zanzibar Palace Hotel is a luxurious nine room boutique hotel located right in the heart of Stone Town (an Unesco World Heritage site). It is independently owned and daily under Dutch management and an ideal home to explore and experience all the beauties of this magical town and Island. Zanzibar's rich history is integrated throughout the hotel by Arabian, Indian and English designs, this in combination with all modern comfort (airco, free WiFi, flatscreen TV's, etc). Each room/suite has its own unique decor with many local originating antique pieces of furniture, magical beds, Persian rugs, colourful silks, etc. Room rates for every purse definitely makes this a place to stay. In its adjacent building there is the Palace Luxury Spa, with its contemporary look and feel with one-of-a-kind art and furniture. As you walk through the front door, you notice the soft aqua blue interior colours along with the antique furniture. You are immediately put into a state of calm and relaxation. ... more   less
