We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Zanzibar Coffee House. Arriving a little bleary-eyed and tired from two weeks on Safari we were so pleasantly surprised at the gracious welcome and the unique architecture of this 18 hundreds building in the center of stone town. The welcome coffee beverage perked us up( fabulous refreshing iced cappuccino with vanilla ice cream), and...

What a lovely place, extremely friendly and helpful staff, beautiful room and decor, clean, comfortable and very reasonably priced. Having breakfast on the roof in the morning was great and I would recommend a spiced coffee from the restaurant downstairs. If I'm ever back in Stone Town I will stay here.

We stayed 4 nights here and were very impressed. Beautiful hotel, full of character with antique decorations, old coffee machines, furniture etc. Best coffee in town and great food. The rooftop breakfast area, with lounge was a highlight - in the real heat of the day escaping up here meant cool breeze in very comfortable lounge area. Can definitely recommend.

Stayed there for 3 nights, just in the heart of Stone Town. The staff was very friendly and helpful and they have a really nice breakfast which is served on the roof top. Close to many other nice restaurants and just a short walk down to the beach.

My partner and I stayed here for 2 nights. Our welcome was super with a complimentary coffee of our choice and the staff very friendly. Our room was exceptional. Stunningly decorated, very spacious and clean. The breakfast buffet on the roof terrace a real treat. The location perfect for touring the town but get your cab driver to walk you...

I booked the single room with a private bathroom in the hallway. I was really happy with my stay overall though there are a few things I think other travelers may want to take note of should they consider a booking. First, the stuff that was great! Check-in was easy. After being dropped off by the driver the hotel sent...

We arrived after dark, through a still fish market, men lounging on doorsteps discussing events of the day, sounds of soccer games and dinner echoing in the winding streets. Two knocks of the brass ring on the massive wooden doors and we were in for a warm greeting. The location is simply amazing and so was the service. Breakfast on...

Hotel offers great breakfast on the rooftop. Room was okay. It is not luxury but everything you need for a comfortable stay. It can be noisy at night because it is in the middle of stonetown but we slept very well.

Wonderfull old hotel with nice rooms above the coffee bar. Not very many modern but high atmosphere. Especially the roof terrace is great offering a fridge with drinks/write down yourself. Sunset on the roof. Rooms are great with aircon. Location is perfect with everything on walking distance. Only cash payments accepted.
