The view is amazing!! The cottages are like a dream, the shower is excellent, the service is nice. Only downside for me was the food. Only two choices, u can't eat a la carte which u kind of expect in an expensive place.

To celebrate my 40th birthday I decided I deserved a fancy spot, so I picked Katara lodge, which was recommended by a friend who also lives in Uganda. I couldnt have chosen better. Beautiful lodges, amazing view, nice food. My sister had brought me a small bottle of cava to start the first day of my next year with a...

An excellent lodge, except for one fact, Queen Elizabeth NP is still a short drive further on and as such there are no animal viewing possibilities. That said, it is an excellent place to stop for the night, off the main road and down a narrow road. The stunning location is high up looking across the valley. The view can...

Spent a long weekend here while on a business trip to Kampala. Upon arrival I promptly cancelled all my plans to visit the national park itself. The lodge is spectacularly located on an escarpment overlooking the national park, and the lodge is architecturally designed to maximally capitalize on this. I had a fantastic break here and was well looked after...

I have been in Katara Lodge with my partner in January and we've had a real good time! The rooms are comfortable and clean. They are equipped with a mobile bed from which you can watch the stunning views on your balcony. The staff is very friendly and helpful. But most of all we've enjoyed the fantastic food prepared by...

We spent three days at the lodge, in the family bungalow. Everything was perfect, food, accomodation, service, etc... Thanks a lot to Nicolas and his team, we enjoyed our stay very much. Beds are very confortables. At the beginning, we found our bungalow was a bit far (it is quite steep), but in the end, it makes you walk a...

To be honest we had some doubts when booking this lodge, we stayed for 2 nights and found it out to be very nice. Ok it's a bit far from the QE NP entrances (about 45 min drive, bad road and 'you can see some tarmac in between the potholes') but then again the view is great, the tents have...

Was here with family for only a night on my way back. Nicholas, the Manager with his team were amazing in service catering to our every details. Took the game drive in the hotel vehicle which was great too though not much luck seeing the lions. The rooms were very well designed and a drink at the pool in the...

Accommodation, views and great location. Handy to the Queens Elizabeth National Park for tree lions and the Kazinga Channel cruise. Very close to the Kyambura Gorge for the Chimpanzee's. Great pool to relax in after a hard day.

Good overall lodge. It is a really nice that for some reason I just did not love. The food is good. No in room WiFi, only in the restaurant and very slow. Power in the rooms was good for charging and met my needs. The views are very lovely.
