Our group stayed here only for one night. I actually took a twin bed room with another solo traveler . We both paid US$15 each, so it was quite OK. There are nice and huge beds which come with linen and pillow. Also bathtub (Hot water) and towel. I didn't expect that I would stay kinda lux lodge at middle... More

Our group stayed here for two nights. We ended up camping b/c the rooms were way overpriced. There weren't any other guests there and we negotiated a price that we were ok with and then the guy never came back to give us the key. We gave up and just went with the camping. The beer was inexpensive, so there's... More

Camped here during a tour in the area, They provide a sheltered area for cooking and an area suited for camping, it was comfortable and safe. Basic facility, no hot water and ideal for a short / stop over.

Way overpriced for what you get. You will also pay for your drinking water here, as most places at least give you a bottle to bruch your teeth. Location, great. Really nice authentic rooms, staff friendly, was great to have a hot shower. Smell of sewage from under the floor. The food was bad, as I was sick the whole... More

We left feeling like we didn't get our money's worth. We enjoyed the food in Queen Elizabeth Park much better. Positives: - Very polite and attentive service - Beautiful bandas - Good location Negatives - The food wasn't very good - It was expensive

This lodge is very well located for Queen Elizabeth Park. The rooms have excellent decor and are very spacious with full baths and overhead showers. Our experience was that the water was hot regularly and the pressure was good. However we stayed with friends and they had very little hot water. The bar is big but has no wifi or... More

Good enough camp site if you are on a tight budget. Not much in the way of things to do/beautiful views but good enough. Only quarm was that the toilets were pretty messy and could have done with a door - you can't breathe for mosquitoes in there.

The best thing about Hippo Hill is the service. We were the only ones staying here for the two nights we were there, and we were made to feel incredibly welcome. Staff have been trained well and the dinner service was very sharp! Food is ok, breakfast was delicious! We were served big portions which we appreciated after being on... More

We spent one night camping at Hippo Camp with our overland group. The camp had an armed guard in the event a roaming elephant or hippo came wandering through our camp at night. Luckily, all was peaceful but the idea of being so close to the animals was really cool. The camping grounds/facilities were well maintained. The showers were clean... More

Was ok.. Beware to the night visitors ;-) Hippos really come to your door. About the cottage, it was OK but without electric plugs. Restaurant is poor and highly overpriced. Of you go there don't miss a walk to the salt Lake at sunset, it's lovely..
