I agree with all the other excellent reviews. Although this lodge is on the edge of a village, it feels remote and private. I stayed in a room named "Brutus" and noticed the window latch and clothes hangers for the robes in the bathroom are VERY high-- challenging for short people! The room was spacious, had an outdoor as well...

We had a great stay here for 3 nights with our family. We did 2 game drives and also did a safari boat ride on the Kazinga Channel, and the Gorge Walk. We also went on a chimpanzee trek (although we did not see them!!!) This is not a place for huge amounts of big game but we did see...

We were luck to have arrived in the evening when they had lit up the walk way, they actually were getting worried and gave us a phone call to ensure we were not lost or still coming to the hotel which is a responsible hotel in my opinion. Well they were all smiles and warm, that day was exclusively only...

We stayed two nights when driving south through Uganda. The lodge is outside the park so is good for access to the chimp tracking, but a long way (on Uganda's dreadful roads) to take the boat trip on the Kazinga channel. Both these activities were well worth doing. The lodge is well run with a nice pool area and a...

Dear Charles B Thanks for taking the time to share your experience with other visitors. Kyambura Gorge Lodge is the closest lodge to the chimpanzee tracking at Kyambura Gorge Lodge. Some of our bandas (rooms) overlook the gorge itself. A complimentary massage is included in the overnight stay for all guests. This may be particularly welcome after a bumpy game...

Kyambura Gorge Lodge, has the best food I have ever tasted on all my trips in Uganda. It has a big lounge where you can hang out. The swimming pool gave me relaxing evenings on both nights I stayed there. Very quiet that you can hear the gorge river roaring especially in the mornings as you wake up.

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Situated on the edge of the Kyambura Gorge and Queen Elizabeth National Park, in Uganda, one of Africa's finest national parks, Volcanoes newest lodge, Kyambura Gorge Lodge, has stunning views over the Gorge and the lush savannah of the park, with the peaks of the Rwenzori Mountains in the distance. The main lodge building was originally a coffee store and processing plant, surrounded by coffee plantations. The original structure has been sensitively restored to create a stunning living space, balancing the history of the building with the location and creating a series of distinct luxurious contemporary spaces for guests. Eight beautiful, spacious bandas have been carefully nestled into the hillside, each with their own luxury bathroom. Each room has a different aspect of the panoramic views across the gorge, savannah and mythical Rwenzoris. Each banda is uniquely appointed, adopting a different colour theme. ... more   less
