It is all about the location. Just next to Masada in a sole location on the western slopes of the mountain. It is very Spartan, expect clean place, simple beds & hopefully a working TV. In spite the fact that school trips are staying there the place is good maintained. Simple food. Very different from the classic touristic hotels in...

We decided to be at the top of Masada mountain first thing in the morning. So the choice of this hotel was great. It is less a "hotel " but more some kind of good gest house. It has big rooms for groups of teenagers or large families. The girls in the recipient were very friendly and polite, and took care...

The location is just great, the view from the terrace is fantastic. Best starting point if you want to climb the snake path early in the morning to enjoy the sunrise at Masada. (definitely recommended!). Food is pretty average, but ok for a youth hostel. Rooms have a fridge, so you can bring your own supplies. No other restaurant options...

We could have stayed here longer! A real oasis in the desert. Our swim in the Dead Sea was absolutely fabulous and coming to a clean neat and airconditioned room at The Masada a Hostel was a real treat! The food was wonderful- fresh healthy and lots of it. This kitchen is kosher so no milk when eating meat! Clean...

Located literally next to the Masada side, this hostel provides basic yet very good lodging, with (yet again) basic but good quality food. The pool is an added bonus. In a sense, the austerity of the hostel are a good match for the atmosphere of the surrounding and the side of Masada itself. Staff very helpful and friendly

We appreciated the clean room, mini fridge, more than adequate bathroom facilities, lovely views, great shaded pool during the summer heat. Food at the hostel is adequate and plentiful, but hardly gourmet. But as a family we found it acceptable and well priced. The convenience of staying right at Masada is fantastic. Staff were efficient and friendly, air conditioning in...

i read and read and read reviews before booking a very last minute trip to the masada hostel. i wanted something clean, safe and relaxing for me and my 17 year old son. as reported elsewhere, THE FOOD WAS PLENTIFUL AND FANTASTIC. even my 17 year old son was full after dinner! the room was clean, air conditioned, and even...

Although the Guest House is very convenient to the Masada site, the rooms were Spartan, and the food uninspired. We nearly missed dinner when we arrived, because the front desk did not tell us we needed a slip of paper from it to get into the restaurant. The air conditioning was adequate but not great. The beds were marginally comfortable....

Masada Guest House is located at the foot of the mountain; guests can get up at 4:30AM to climb the mountain for the sunrise. The place is quite nice as hostels go; its main selling point is the outdoor pool which is a lifesaver after a few days in the desert heat. The only negative point is that there is...

Great place, really easy to get to the Dead sea and Masada Nationak Park. Rooms are spacious and cousy, the view from the balconies is more than just beautiful and from the mail terrace in the lobby you can see amazing sunsets and sunruses. Disadvantage: on a hot day it's hard to get to the nearest shop. The walk is...
