Hotel was in the past maby 5 star but that was years ago. When I was there 10 days March 23 most of the time only 1 elevator working. My first room drain of the shower was not flushing. Pool outside was not filled with water. In my new room the door of the shower cabin is almost falling out. Cleaning should know this but nobody repairs. There only instant coffee in the morning. The coffee machine was not working. There are much better hotels here. Next time i will not book this hotel anymore. WiFi is terrible no access in the rooms.

Safe parking, Attentive staff and a fantastic selection of food available. The indoor with Dead Sea water has exactly the same feeling as the Dead Sea without the painfull experience of hobbling across the sea salt, so make sure you pack your dive booties. The sea view we had was fantastic and gave instant karma. Worth the visit.

Probably one of the worst hotel service experiences I have ever had. We got to our room (after only 2 of 4 elevators worked...) and found shattered glass in the carpet. We picked up the larger pieces, and since we got no answer from reception we went down to speak in person. No other rooms were available (the hotel was full due to the wonderful Dead Sea Marathon), but the promised to send someone to clean. This was not done although we received several promises from several staff members, so it stayed that way until checkout! In addition, the room was run down and not well maintained. Furniture was scratched and no curtain in the bath/shower so the entire bathroom flooded. Food was reasonable at best (salads were over salted), but the dinning room had a bad smell. Overall very bad hotel experience, in an otherwise pleasant race event.

Without a doubt the worst hotel experience I have ever had, and I have stayed at 100s, many of which have been less than half the price. I wasn’t sure if the reception staff were stupid, mentally disabled or just incredibly rude, potentially all 3. The wifi didn’t work in the room, gym was “under construction”, no water was provided in the room, and the breakfast was disgusting. Would avoid at all costs

I booked three rooms at the hotel for my wife and I and 4 other members of my family. We arrived at the hotel at 3.30 pm, and because we only had one night booked, we wanted to check in and get down to the beach as soon as possible to experience the Dead Sea for the first time. When we checked in, we provided a credit card as requested. We were repeatedly told that our credit card would not process through their terminal. Since we had used our Amex numerous times we were surprised to be informed that it was declined. It took one and a half hours for them to finally tell us that the hotel no longer accepted Amex. In the meanwhile, they would not let us check in to our rooms and permit us to sort out the payment after our return from the beach. We ended up paying with a VISA credit card after the unneccessary one and a half hour delay. During this period, the front desk gentleman, Solomon was nonchalant and rude. The manager, Ruth was there and witnessed the transaction and made no effort to intervene or resolve the situation quickly. She was totally uncaring. After taking out luggage up to our rooms, we ended up being able to spend less than a half hour at the beach as it closed at 6pm. We got back to the hotel and were told we could not even sit at the pool as they also closed at 6 pm I spoke with an assistant manager Lior upon our return from the beach who called the Hotel manager Ruth ( who had gone home by this time). She refused to speak to me directly. We were told they would issue us a 300 shekel refund as compensation for our experience, only if we wrote a glowing report about the hotel. I said that I could not do this in all clear conscience, as it felt like blackmail. There were also safety issues we were concerned about.. There were no working lights in the corridors of our floor. We mentioned this and were met by the same nonchalant attitude. All in all a very unpleasant experience and our 1 day dream experience at the Dead Sea was marred by the absolute disdain and uncaring attitude of all the staff we encountered at the front desk, including from the manager, Ruth. I cannot recommend a facility like this, whose staff, from the manager down, who just do not seem to care about their customers, or their concerns. They turned what we had hoped would be a wonderful experience at a beautiful part of the world to one that was so unpleasant and forgetful. Stay far away from this hotel.

First, I don’t think I have written a bad review in my life. Well, this place DESERVES it in DROVES! Horrible customer service, the elevators take FOREVER, food, meh, checking in was a study in chaos theory, WIFI, SUPER SLOW! Parking is HORRENDOUS! My car was blocked by another driver so I was trapped at the hotel, management couldn’t have cared less, and they said they couldn’t do anything. I couldn’t get my car out and had to pay extra because I couldn’t return my rental on time! Run, don’t walk away! MISERABLE time! Want to be treated like cattle? THIS is the place for you!

When built, this hotel really was "Royal" - luxury and opulence. It vas very fancy and popular. Past and gone! Very bad maintenance, and the management/owners have no whatsoever intentions to improve it / to invest in it. Food is good, but not more then this. Russian speaking cooks, very impatient and irritated. Very steep hill on the way back from the beach (also far away). In general -only if you have to...

Large old hotel at the shore of the Dead Sea. Spacious rooms with large beds. Worn carpets, damaged woodwork. Flimsy hangers. Not organized for bulk arrivals/departures. Noisy AC. Could use some renovations. Good food and service in the buffet (dinner & breakfast). Incompetent bar staff (never heard of Bloody Mary) with atrocious pricing of cocktails.
