We decided to stay at this property based on the Marriott reputation. Two rooms were reserved for 5 nights. Walking into both rooms in different buildings (didn't even provide conjoining rooms) we were overwhelmed with the unbearable smell of mold/mildew. In addition to the smell, the tile floors were slippery from moisture-all a sign of poor air handling. We returned to the check in desk for help and they said they would send someone right over to assist. While waiting, we saw that the counter surfaces were not clean, and bugs were in both rooms due to the hotel doors opening to the outdoors. Their cleaning solution was to send an assistant who had a small cloth in one hand and a bottle of Fabreze in the other! Knowing this wasn’t going to fix the real problem of air filtration, we requested different rooms. We were told one room was available the following day. We said we couldn’t breath in our rooms and we’re concerned of allergy flair ups. We searched other hotel options and ended up finding an entirely different property (non-Marriott). Sticking with policy, the Courtyard front desk said they would have to charge us for one night two rooms- even though they could not provide an adequate solution for our reservation. I’ve been a Marriott member for over 15 years, and this was the worst experience, especially considering it was a long planned and long distance family vacation. Maybe there was a problem with the property at that time but consider other options!…
Last minute trip to Aruba and chose this hotel as Marriott member and price point. I had not been to Aruba before and had low expectations. I was traveling with 2 teens but we absolutely loved this this hotel. The service was wonderful, food was good, rooms were clean and spacious, 2 nice pools, a gym, music at the pool but not annoying and no fighting over pool chairs. Within walking distance of Palm Beach shops and restaurants, free parking and free wifi. Mini fridge and microwave in room. Rooms are pretty sound proof as we were pool side but once our door was shut, we didn't hear a thing. Excellent air-conditioning. The only con is that it is not right on the beach BUT it is a 5 minute walk and there is also a shuttle. I also found the cocktails to be fairly weak so save your $. Also the design of the walk in shower is flawed as water often doesn't drain fast enough but shower is nice with good water pressure. We were curious and walked through some of the bigger resorts on Palm Beach and found them to be very crowded and some of the pools at these resorts were no better than ours. It doesn't have all the bells and whistles like a large check-in area, a casino or multiple stores at the hotel but we all found that was a bonus. We typically stay at these big resorts as I always thought it would be funner for my kids but they both admitted it was nice to be able to go back to a place that was less crowded. Was able to order food and drinks quickly. 3 large pancakes that the kids loved for $10/ Mahi Mahi tacos were a daily staple, good chicken caesar salad and good quesadillas. We could walk to everything and getting to the beach was super easy. Would definitely return.…
Loved the location, spacious room, bath, and gracious staff. Easy walk to Palm Beach restaurants and shops. We were three couples in our seventies. A good choice for our vacation time together. Everything you need on the premises. We would return.
We went in January 2023! The trip was nothing short of amazing. With Aruba being so safe staying in a resort that WASNT all-inclusive allowed us to venture out and eat at various restruarants. Sandy was absolutely wonderful and so pleasant and friendly. Javier was an awesome at the pool bar and I loved feeding the iquana lettuce!!! Although the resort isnt on the beach, it is only a 3 minute golf cart ride! The resort will bring you and pick you up by golf cart. They also have chairs and towels at the beach for resort quests which is included.
Just leaving this hotel which I booked as a package through sunwing and they handed me a bill with over $200 in fraudulent charges, I had a bill printed previously that had charges on it that were not mine they removed them only to go to check out and they were put back on along with many others that were not mine, they handed me receipts with multiple that had other signatures on it (not mine) some were duplicates reprinted and some they could not provide and still refused to remove from my bill, this hotel is very sleezy and criminal and now I have to deal with going through companies to deal with fraud , save yourself the headache don't ever stay here!!!!
The staff here is wonderful, special thanks to Sandy and Jose. Sandy has a great sense of humour and made my vacation very special. Also Jemena the young lady who sold me tickets to De Palm Island and Frienda she makes the best cappuccino and makes you feel at home. The hotel is very clean and immaculate. We look forward to our next stay at the Marriot Courtyard. The staff is amazing!
The Courtyard Marriott proved to be exactly what my wife and I were looking for. The rooms are super clean and more than adequate. The pool environment was relaxing and not a huge party atmosphere. We found the staff to be polite and helpful. We even had a chance to interact with the Front House Manager Marvin Leonides. He was a professional as can be. We are happy to say that we have found our place in Aruba. We will be booking again there in the future.
One of our most memorable memories of Aruba and this hotel is meeting the shuttle driver name Sandy. She is the best. She is friendly, makes you laugh and will make great conversation with you. Ask Sandy anything about the island like places to go or food. Sandy makes a point to learn your name and really makes you feel like a friend.
If you are planning a trip to Aruba, and considering a beachside hotel, please hear me out. This hotel is across the street from the beach. It has one of the nicest pools on the island with a swimup bar and beautiful courtyard bar. You will be treated like GOLD here. We considered the Stellaris Marriott and Ritz, but after walking the beach and seeing how BUSY it is near those places we went with the Courtyard. Sandy (now a friend) is waiting to happily drive you via golf cart DIRECTLY to the beach. The Courtyard has exclusive beach chairs there! SO much more relaxing and a BETTER beach than the ones further North! Trust me on this. Authentic restaurants like Rich's, Gianni's, Lola's, Azia, and entertainment at Soprano's and other fun places are EASILY within walking distance. You will get to know staff like Sandy (golf cart driver), Linda, Elvi, Gregario (Breakfast), Nelson, Sherwin and others (Bar and Pool Staff). This is the LEAST pretentious place and you will have a wonderful time. PLEASE book here and try first. Balcony rooms that overlook the pool in the evening are amazing. I'm confident that you will enjoy every aspect of your stay! …
Here for less than 24 hours and I can honestly say that it exceeded my expectations! Great rooms, free parking and close to my fav beach (divi beach). I should also mention its a 10 min walk to the best restaurant & bar called Craft. I'll be back! Thank you to the staff for the late check out accommodation,
