Nestled on a tranquil beachfront, The Ritz Carlton Aruba wins guests' acclaim for its spotless, expansive rooms boasting stunning views, though there are occasional remarks about the air conditioning and dated decor. The hotel's serene vibe is heightened by live elegant music and thoughtful touches such as balloon bouquets, although isolated instances of noise have been noted. While the attentive staff and impeccable cleanliness receive high marks, experiences with service can vary and some visitors feel the steep prices and extra charges do not fully equate to the overall value received.

This was our first stay at a Ritz. It was our Honeymoon in December and this was our stop for our second and last week. We stayed at the Riu Palace for the first week. This was a major upgrade to say the least. You most certainly pay a premium but if you have the desire I higher encourage you to experience the service. The location is at the end of Eagle/Palm Beach, very quiet beach and pool area with calm waters.

If you are on the beach you will be tended to by servers on Segways which is so fun and fast! Andreas was our server on the beach and was top notch all the way. Gregory was our server at the pool, he knew us by name and took such great care of us. Such a hard worker, he made us feel truly special.

Since it was our honeymoon we also got a beach cabana where Mitchell was our attendant and did a great job at taking special care of us. He even found us when we were taking a dip in the ocean and brough us champagne and fresh fruit. It was a dream!

The restaurants are delicious. The casino is very nice, clean and a fun environment. The grounds outside at night are so nice, very romantic. The rooms are beautiful, the beds and pillows are so comfortable. Get ready to pay a premium for what you buy there though :)

It will be hard to stay any where else now that I have stayed at the Ritz!

My husband and I really loved it here and would absolutely stay here again! Upon arrival, we were greeted with champagne and with his titanium status, we were upgraded from an Oceanview room to one of the few 1200 SF Oceanfront suites (with 2 bathrooms!) The rooms were absolutely gorgeous and had a large balcony overlooking the ocean. For our anniversary, chocolate covered strawberries with flecks of gold were waiting for us in our room, this was both unexpected and wonderful! The staff were always friendly and helpful. The front doorman even had snacks waiting for returning joggers, such a nice touch!

After researching all the hotels on this beach, it was the ONLY hotel that had adequate lounge chairs for the guests AND were comfortable with cushions. You can get up early to reserve the front rows if you wish however, at any time during the day you will find chairs available and they all have views of the water. Aruba is windy (thankfully, its soooo hot) therefore, you don’t always want to be right up on the beachfront anyway. An incredible extra were the complimentary sunscreen stations on the beach for guests! As well, there were ice water stations and the beach waiters came around each day with watermelon and fruit.

Honestly, it’s going to be hard to stay anywhere else In Aruba for our next trip!! Aruba is amazing: 5 star restaurants, perfect weather and rich in history. The concierge arranged for us a car rental and I recommend doing this one day during your trip. That said, you can also walk to many shops and restaurants as the island is very safe.

Must do’s while you have a car: The natural Baby Bridge, Snorkling at Boca Cataline or Malmok beach, Bushiribana Gold Mill Runs, The Lighthouse, Ayo and Casibari Rock Formations and Baby Beach. Then end your day with dinner at the incredible Flying Fishbone (20 mins drive)! Definitely skip downtown; Typical port for cruise ships with overpriced touristy stores and markets, these areas do not represent the heart of these beautiful islands!

Finally, the Ritz has complimentary snorkling equipement and paddle boards (most hotels, extra $) which we used daily and really enjoyed. The restaurants were all great however, my hubby and I are foodies so we did venture out to the many incredible restaurants that the island offers. Overall, I highly recommend staying here for your vacation.

Our stay has been saved by the staff. We are here for a CME course and didn't know it was booked during "Hell Week Aruba" (google that for more info) and despite it being a crowded, noisy, bizarre time with lots of questionable parenting skills on display and interactions with selfish guests, we have had a great stay. Our room is lovely, the food is quite good, and most of all, the staff is excellent. Gerson and Agnes (and Celia) in the Club Lounge are particular standouts. The lounge has been our escape from the spectacle and crowds and Gerson and Agnes have behaved like grandparents who dote and provide the best care and love. They are remarkable. We went to dinner at BLT and the waiter Andreas made sure we had the best possible experience with signature dishes and attentive care. Mavis the esthetician, Rachel and Natalie the nail technicians, and Maxine in the spa were also standouts providing excellent care and great attention to detail and comfort. Our housekeeper Elba has done amazing work and zips in and out according to our schedule and keeps reminding us "it's your home" and that she wants it to be nice for us. The one real improvement I'd like to see is to the beach activities...in Grand Cayman, the Ritz provides the equipment and staffing of the activities/training, so it's all done at a high level of care. Here, it's done by a third party vendor without all the equipment that's supposed to be here. (I was told if we wanted a peddle boat we'd sink because their peddle boat has a leak.) I had to drag the heavy, wobbly paddleboards a long way to the water myself and they were probably the least user-friendly boards we have ever seen. I'd suggest the Ritz Aruba ditch the vendor and supply its own equipment and use its own staff to ensure guests' needs are met at the high Ritz Carlton standards. Iron this snag out, and even the most unpleasant fellow guests don't matter.

First of all, dealing with the Front Desk at this hotel was a terrible experience. They added $78 in additional fees to my bill that were not disclosed on my room confirmation, and would only take off $20 of those excess fees even though I had a copy of my confirmation showing the expected total, which included taxes and fees. These unexpected fees included mandatory bellman and housekeeping fees that were not disclosed prior to arrival.

While we were upgraded to an Executive Oceanfront Suite with a great view, the King bed should have been replaced years ago. As you can see in the photos, this bed had two deep indentations with a “hill” in the middle. It was also too firm and the pillows were not very soft. The bathtub water, while always fairly warm, was never hot. Definitely not in line with what would be expected from an $1100 per night room.

For some reason, the hotel was never able to provide housekeeping at a pre-scheduled time. When I called for immediate housekeeping service, they showed up. Each time I called and asked for housekeeping at a later time that day, they never did show up. Each time housekeeping came, they raised the room temperature to 72 degrees, so I had to lower the air conditioning to 70 degrees after every housekeeping service.

The parking lot has a drainage issue, so when it rains, the parking lot partially floods.

The breakfast buffet was overpriced for what I received. No pastries, toast, or bagels. Just a limited selection of fruit, eggs, bacon, sausage, cheese, and smoked salmon.

The beach area where the chairs and umbrellas are located is somewhat narrow due to the vegetation on both sides. The left side of this area also stinks due to rotting vegetation.

I would not recommend this hotel. It really felt like they are hurting for money as they gave me such a hard time regarding the extra fees that they added onto the bill, the bed that needed to be replaced years ago, and having housekeeping raise the air conditioning temperature every time they cleaned the room. We did have a chance to visit Bucuti & Tara Beach Resort while here and had dinner there one night - they have a far nicer beach with better service, so would recommend that resort over the Ritz-Carlton.

I was so excited to stay at a Ritz Carlton and I was completely let down. Customer service is nothing. many days went to the pool and there was no attendee, when he was there he didn’t offer to help me with my towels, by around 4 o’clock there was no towels to be had as they were not refilled. Wait staff at the pool would walk past me not even ask if I needed anything. Johna/Jonathan at the beach was awesome!!! Julie at the lobby bar was awesome!!! That’s it!!! I’ve had fabulous customer service at Mexico resorts & other hotels. Stains on the carpet in my hotel room, holes in the Bath towels, maid entered my room with privacy notice on my door. why is there even carpet in the hotel room, you enter the hotel rooms and it’s tile/marble why would you not update your rooms especially for the price you pay to stay here & have all marble/tile floors. So completely disappointed. Would never ever stay here again. Sooooo disappointing.

We have been to Aruba 3 occasions and decided we wanted a bit more upscale. However this hotel is not up to par with other Ritz hotels we’ve stayed at. It needs a facelift and revamp. Looks old! They do cater to large groups so some amenities change how you would use the property. Some restaurants close for the large group, main lobby bar area or front beach chairs roped off, etc. Our checkin was extraordinarily long and unusual. My husband is a frequent to Ritz and all we got was a thank you! We inquired about an upgrade but were told they were booked. Our initial room had an ocean and pool view and they changed us to an ocean parking lot view. Our bed was so old it bottomed out. We asked for a solution and we got a board placed under the mattress, a horrible week with no sleep as this did not help! The entry to the lobby has a casino right off the left without doors to close it off so the smell of cigars is very strong and a horrible smell in the morning. The grounds are chopped up into sections and the adult pool is smaller and does not have enough seating. Nor does the beach in front of the pool. We did not notice that there was other beach seating sections on the other side of the trees until we took a walk and noticed how much more room there was. But by the next day was swamped with larger group events so it did not matter. The water is always about knee deep so if you are a swimmer you can’t do that here.

Our first afternoon (late and not crowded at this time) the outdoor server approached and asked what we would like to drink and we said we were unsure and asked for a drink menu. He said they had one but asked what we wanted and we said we did not know and looking for some great concoction! Instead of getting a menu preceded in trying to narrow our choice. So we ordered a basic margarita and said 3x NO SALT! after a long time we got our wings, still no drinks, wings gone and waited for eternity. Got our drinks WITH salt! He remarked he didn’t hear it and would be right back. Now waited even longer, they weren’t even good! Could of walked to the bar in 1 minute should of got our own. We finish and want to check out and he doesn’t return and we had noticed he spent much of his time talking with guests under a cabana. We figure leave he’ll show up and does! A couple times I tried to open the front door but with the breezes it was impossible and the door men just look at you instead of coming to open the door for you. They also fail to get your car door. They have stuff going on at the hotel such as art show, jewelry etc. but no one gives you a newsletter on arrival telling you what’s coming up.

We will never stay here again as it is definitely not worth it! There are many places on this island with boutique hotels and timeshares that are nicer!

This a fantastic resort hotel. Upon check-in, we were given a room upgrade (higher floor, better view) than the one we paid for, which was very nice. However, the room they gave us had a significant issue with it, so they moved us again to a room which was oceanfront—much appreciated. The bellman noticed we had stopped by a grocery store and had some food in tow (two hungry teenage boys at a 5-star resort can get really expensive really quickly). They offered to bring us a larger fridge which was fantastic! I have been lucky enough to stay at many Ritz Carlton properties and this one is one of the best and the biggest reasons are the amazing staff. I sometimes feel the Ritz does not meet the expectations they set as far as service but at this resort they knocked it out of the ballpark. Christina the housekeeper and Noel and Kenrick the beach attendants really stand out. The room was a standard room but was very large and the beds were awesome, as was the AC. Another highlight for a man with a bad back was the beach chairs! They are so comfortable and they sit on flat beach, not severely sloped down which always kills my back. The water is beautifully clear but I wish it got deeper within the roped off area. This would be a fantastic beach for young kids as there are no waves and it is only waste deep for like 100 yards out. Thanks to all for a great trip! Definitely 5 star!

I do apologize sometimes my reviews can get long, but stick with me.
My husband and I tried out 3 different resorts and I can honestly tell you, The Ritz is worth every stinking penny. It is far superior than the others, from the rooms to the restaurants to the service. It is like a well oiled machine that runs perfectly.

I am not usually a name dropper in my reviews but we had a couple guys that really went above and beyond during our stay.
Abraham at the main bar, he absolutely slays his drinks, he is fun, personable and remembers your name and your cocktail of choice after your first encounter, he truly is what you expect when you stay somewhere like a Ritz.
Now, I am super bummed because I am blanking on the two guys names that we had as servers on the beach, they ride around on these awesome little scooters and make sure your drink is never empty (unless you've had enough and have tapped out).
One of the gentleman actually noticed me on our last day, I was just going to walk the beach before we had to check out and I hear him from a little ways behind me "Mrs. Fay, are you in the same spot today? I can bring a champagne margarita right away".

That type of service really does make your vacation, it goes a long way and makes your stay memorable, also makes the price feel worth it.

Now onto my actual review, my husband likes to gamble so he loved having the casino attached, he would go down and play black jack while I would get ready for dinner. I've been into some casinos where the ventilation is so good you wouldn't know if someone was smoking next to you, however I felt like it was a bit on the smoky side here. Adding to that, I'm a little sensitive to smoke so to most people it was probably fine.

Onto our rooms, the bed and pillows were comfortable, the robes were nice and the view was absolutely breathtaking. I highly recommend an ocean view, there was nothing better than having our morning coffee and breakfast on our balcony each day.

The beach, in my honest opinion from staying at a few different places, it is by far the best. Because it is last resort on the little strip of resorts it wasn't nearly as flooded with people as the others. They also do an amazing job making sure the chairs and umbrellas are lined perfectly, very pleasing to the eye. Garbage and dirty towels won't be left long as they are constantly picking up after their guests (not that I think they should have to but you would be surprised how many people leave at the end of the day without picking up after themselves).

Last but not least and this is all I will say on this topic, if you are traveling to Aruba in January, do yourself a favor and Google "Hell Week Aruba".
When we go back next year we will be planning our trip around those 2 weeks because it will absolutely put a damper on your vacation if you happen to be there during it.

The staff at the hotel made our experience unforgettable. My girlfriend and I stay for 4 days over my birthday weekend and everyone at the hotel helped to make it incredibly memorable. From Bjorn at the front desk to Eric helping with our bags to Diego at our private beach dinner, I was very impressed at how kind and helpful everyone was. The highlight had to be the private dinner on a secluded part of the beach for my birthday, where we had an amazing sunset and they brought out balloons and sang. Diego was so much fun and did a great job making the night special.

The beachside service was always punctual and you rarely had to wait long for your orders because of the Segways. The beach itself is clean and thankfully was not that crowded - at times it felt almost private. The water on this stretch of the beach is so calm and clear that we didn’t feel the need to leave. They had a special on the upgrades so we took the executive suite and it was probably the best view I’ve ever hand in a room. You could see the ocean for miles and it was perfect for sunsets.

I didn’t ever see any of the staff without a mask and I would see them cleaning constantly; you can tell they took safety very seriously. Aside from the the masks and the testing procedures at the airport, it felt very normal once you arrived at the hotel.

It was our first time in Aruba and I didn’t know what to expect aside from the good weather, but I was blown away by how friendly and accommodating everyone was at the Ritz Carlton. I would highly recommend.
