We stayed in the Atlantic Coast Motel for 2 nights in August. Our room was in the back of the motel facing the light house. I was a little hesitant to stay after reading some of the reviews which weren't bad but not great since it is an older motel. I was pleasantly surprised! Our room and bathroom were both very clean. Yes, the motel is older but very well kept. The owners can be seen throughout the day cleaning the pool which by the way was probably larger than pools in most hotels and monitoring the housekeepers. The room had a refrigerator and microwave in the room. There was a small coffee maker with coffee samples and cups. They also offer complimentary toiletries. The towels were plentiful and looked new. They had a laundry area, ice and vending machines. The guest were either older or young families. The location is fantastic, about a block from the ocean. We are planning on our next visit with them. Something else I want to mention is the beds. I slept like a baby. Comfortable beds and quiet at night. I highly recommend.

A wonderful motel perfectly located right on the Delaware-Maryland state line one block from the beach! Lots of fantastic restaurants and shops within easy walking distance. An historic lighthouse lover’s dream with the motel located directly in front of the Fenwick Island Lighthouse! If you are looking for a modern hotel keep searching but this gem has all the amenities one could ask for including the best outdoor pool and a fantastic nostalgic vibe! My wife and I love visiting the Atlantic Coast Motel each and every summer!

Stayed here 3 days with granddaughters who love the beach. Old property but well kept up. Refrigerator and microwave in room. We had two double beds which were sufficient (especially since I had my own!). Pool was very nice: large & well kept. Staff was exceptional: very nice and informative. Rates were very reasonable especially since we visited in height of the “on” season. One (1) block walk to ocean beach - just carried our stuff and walked to it! This is, of course, a real bonus when staying at the shore.

We are many time visitors to fenwick and normally rent cottages by the week. Decided at the last minute to go for Father’s Day and eat at one of our favorite restaurants across the street-One Coastal. Excellent as always. The person who took my reservation , the man who checked us in and I believe the owner who was there at check out could not have been nicer or more gracious. It is a motel and old school. Which I like. Very clean , convenient parking, 2 blocks from the beach and 1/2 the price from other places in nearby ocean city. Set your expectations and for a night this was just right for us. Would have given it a 3.5 rating but in any event a positive review for sure.

This place is not fancy, but it is excellent for what it is - an inexpensive motel that has everything most people need. I’d rather have a an excellent bargain motel than a subpar $400/night chain hotel. The hotel has plenty of parking, and they do patrol it because beach goers try to park there. We never had any trouble parking near our room. Our room was in the front, facing the pool and mini golf. First thing I noticed about our king bed room was that it was Spartan but spotless. The rooms are slightly smaller than a hotel room, but that’s fine. When I’m at the beach, I’m only in my room to shower and sleep. I want to be out there! They do have cottages and suites, so ask the staff, especially if you have a larger group. The place is older, but well-maintained. The quality bed provided a great night’s sleep. The linens and towels are very good quality. The toilet/shower bathroom is separated by a door from the sink - which is excellent for keeping germs away from your toothbrush. WiFi is spotty but the flat screen TV worked perfectly. The mini-fridge kept our drinks cool and leftovers safe. The staff is friendly and very responsive. The toilet backed up once, and the night manager raced over and fixed it in a jiffy. The staff are very knowledgeable about the area and happy to answer questions. Maid service is diligent and thorough, and the housekeepers are friendly and very helpful. The location, on RT 1 right on the MD/DE line, is excellent. We could get to OC, Bethany or Rehoboth easily. In addition to the THREE mini golf places adjacent (one in front, one on each side), we could walk across the street to a Candy Kitchen, Kohr Bros., Fisher’s Popcorn, and a great taco place - all with no sales tax! There’s also a fantastic crepe place a short drive up RT 1. The beach is a quick two block walk away. The hotel also has a foot shower by the pool to help you clean off after the beach. We found the Atlantic Coast Inn because most of the hotels in OC charge $300-400/night in August. That’s the market - I get it. But most of them aren’t luxury hotels. In fact, many are dirty, in disrepair, and have disinterested staffs. I’m giving Atlantic Coast Inn five stars for being excellent at what it is - a bargain motel. If you, like me, would rather spend money on dinner and attractions, this could be the place for you. One more thing: they do book up quickly. They close the third weekend of September and reopen in April. They start taking reservations in February. Mark you calendar!

Every room had a semi private outdoor area! An added bonus when you need a break from your family! The room had everything you could need, including a frig big enough for take out boxes with a separate freezer. It's pretty much the perfect mid-priced hotel for a family. My only reason for not giving it a 5 star rating is the bed was a bit soft for my taste.

The room was gross. Dirty floor, dirty couch, dirty bed sheets. Stains on the drapes and floor. There were no other rooms available and I know no vacancy at any other hotels. I would not stay here again. Only good thing was location.
