We were a walk-in. We had to travel urgently to the area at the very last minute. We had the last room. It was exceptional in every regard comfort, design, amenities, hospitality and, as it turned out, price. Note: It was low season but the local budget hotels all cost more and offered considerably less. Hint: book direct through their...

Cannot say enough good things about our stay at La Maison de la Commanderie. Although this is a B&B, it felt more like staying in a 5 star hotels. We were traveling with our 4 teenage children, and the owner, Laurent was kind enough to give us side by side rooms. Given that this is a 12th century building, we...

Great place to stay right in St Emilion. Lots of character, big bathroom, fabulous breakfast with homemade jam, tart and delicious coffee and croissant. The host is super nice and helpful. Would return there in out next stay in the area.

After traveling together for 30 years, this was the best trip hands down for my husband and me thanks to the owner Laurent, his staff, and his B&B. Our living area was clean, well decorated, well stocked, and our balcony offered the best views of the town and their annual celebration. We will be back Laurent. Thank you

This cute B & B overlooking Saint-Emillion is an excellent base to wine and dine in the region. Laurent, the owner, was very gracious with his time and made us feel at home, and offered excellent advice on sightseeing, wineries and restaurants. His home-made breakfast was yummy, albeit at Euro 12 a bit expensive. Our room had two floors, with...

Stayed here for a couple of nights in the commanderie suite. But for the slightly creaky floors the suite is well appointed and the terrace boasts of fantastic views. The host is very friendly and hospitable as well and was kind enough to offer us a partial refund for an unused night as we decided to leave earlier because of...

We stayed 2 nights in Sept. 2016. Laurent was a fabulous host - our breakfasts every morning included a fresh fruit tart or other homemade pastry, and yogurt that his mom makes. He went out of his way to be helpful, even moving my car about 1/2 mile away so I didn't get a ticket. We were in Saint Emilion...

We were part of a 6 day cycling trip and spent 2 nights here. A real treat and the owner, Laurent in his 30's, was a true professional, very helpful and very friendly - a fun guy to talk to. The room was massive, very clean and very current. Saint Emillion is a UNESCO world heritage site and a true...

This place is a must to stay in if you are looking for a boutique type stay. Do NOT miss having the breakfast. It is full of fresh food from home made yoghurt, homemade jams, freshly baked croissants all whilst your host is making a fresh homemade tart ready for the next day. Stayed for two nights during a hot September. Rooms are very comfortable, quiet and with great AC. The owner Laurent is very helpful. We had lost a bag in Bordeaux and he made the calls for us to help track it down. His homemade breakfast was delicious with homemade yogurt, Jams, tart and more. A great base for doing some...
