Maison de la Commanderie is a beautiful hotel centrally located with some of the best views in town. While parking can be difficult in the town the hotel is lucky enough to have a few spots very close. The owner operator was extremely helpful with our stay and made a wonderful breakfast for us each day. We would love to...

After walking up the hill to Saint Emilion with my luggage in the light rain, tired and wet, I was so happy to finally find Maison de la Commanderie. When I was shown my room, and I saw the huge windows, the spacious room, the modern, airy bathroom and then the incredible view of the church, I felt like I...

We stayed at a really cool room with a spectacular view. Locations is also very convenient to walk to town. Nothing beats the owner touch - Laurent - who assisted us beyond the cool breakfast lounge where we were able to enjoy taste jams made by his mother. The shower set is very good also for what we have experienced...

We stayed 2 nights in this hotel. Our room was large and recently re-furbished, and had a sitting area as well as bed.The location couldn't have been better. We were concerned about parking as the hotel doesn't have designated parking. However, we did not have a problem finding parking on the street. On the first night we were awoken by...

A wonderful hotel in beautiful St Emilion. I would highly recommend this property as it is in a great location and the hotel itself excellent. As there are only a small inventory of rooms the service is personal yet unassuming. The room was a nice surprise. It was huge with a separate living area and a massive bathroom. It was...

We have been travelling through France for two weeks now and this hotel was one of the best for us! We are middle aged couple!! Yes - we had lots of stairs but you are in St emilion so not surprising and the top rooms give you a view of the whole of the old village and adjoining vineyards. Our...

This is a quaint, gorgeous property perfectly located in exquisite Saint-Émilion. The proprietor went literally out of his way to make sure we received transport to and from the location of a wine tour on a blazing hot day. He went way beyond what we expected. Bravo! Highest recommendation from this family of travelers.

Maison de la Commanderie (not to be confused with Auberge de la Commanderie) is a very comfortable, roomy, well-decorated B&B in a centuries-old building right in the centre of the one-of-a kind Saint-Emilion--all together a winning combination. Rooms on the town side of the building (e.g. Chevaliers) have spectacular views over the town which are particularly stunning at night. Our...

We spent two nights at this guesthouse and enjoyed our stay. The room was very nice, spacious with large bed, wardrobe and sofa, but it was a little dark with just a small window looking out on to a vineyard. It was two floors up which made me puff, especially when carrying luggage. The shower room was also spacious, very...
