What a charming place. This hotel occupies multiple levels along the hill that is the edge of the main area of St. Emilion. Getting to our room required riding 3 different elevators from the lobby, but we enjoyed the "journey" each time we came and went from our room. In the building our room was in, we could also take...

We drove to Saint Emilion through one of the worst weather I have ever know in France but when we arrived, it was so worth it. What a lovely hotel!! Our room (which was expensive, admittedly) was one of the best I have ever stayed in. Beautifully decorated bedroom, glamorous bathroom and our own private terrace with a good view...

This hotel, built into the hilltop that is St. Emilion is stunning. We had a magnificent room, the public spaces were gorgeous and the town was so charming. There are lots of great food and wine shops, some antiquities, and of course fabulous vineyards to see and wine taste. This hotel had a first rate dining room and chef. The...

Staying at this lovely hotel was a special treat for our last night in France. It was expensive but definitely worth it as we have a wonderful memory of our stay. Our room did not have a great view but it was elegant and romantic - just what I wanted. I chose it from the website and from that first contact...

We stayed here 3 nights while exploring the Bordeaux wine country. We chose it because it is part of the Relais & Chateaux chain, our favorite. Also, this hotel is right in Saint-Emilion next to the bell tower. We had a fabulous dinner one night; both food and service were excellent. The rooms are beautiful; Yves Delorme linens and lovely...

Here with The Hidden France Bordeaux bike trip. This is a 5 star hotel in the heart of St. Emilion. Great hospitality, wonderful room, and a 2 Star Michelin restaurant. We are here for two nights, but I won't want to leave. The view from the terrace with a glass of wonderful Bordeaux is a special treat. Worth the trip...

We had been to this hotel many years before and we had an excellent memory of it. We were not disapointed !!We had a fantastic suite at the ground level with a huge garden and a view to all the valley. The hotel is located at the top of a cliff above an historic church carved into the cliff !!...

The hotel is amazing, the rooms are great, and the view is just stunning. It's a very expensive hotel but if you can afford it, then stay here. That said, I must say it's VERY expensive. A friend booked us at this hotel without confirming the price of the room and one of us (we were a group of 6)...

This hotel is stunning. It is perched on top of the town and follows the steep lay of the land with the hotel staggered across many levels (there were three different lifts to our room). We only stayed one night and ate in the Michelen starred restaurant there. It was very expensive but it was beautiful. I am glad we...

St Emilion should be among a list of pilgrimage places everybody should do once in their lifetime. Hostellerie de Plaisance is the right way to do it. The room under the"clocher" is superb, spaceious room, large bathroom.
