We came as a party of four for four nights. After reading some reviews we were a tiny bit concerned, but we had no reason to be. The rooms were clean and comfortable with beautiful views of the water and islands. We had everything we needed and the staff were so friendly and nothing was too much trouble. For a very young team of staff we were impressed. The tables were all clean, and the outside furniture was cleared and cleaned as soon as people vacated. The spa wasn't open, but we knew that before we arrived so that wasn't an issue. We ate two nights in the hotel and the food was great, massive steaks and the roast on Sunday was superb. Breakfast was lovely and we had nothing to complain about what so ever. We also ate at Adams Fish & Chips and the Seven Stones Inn all equally as good. So well done the Karma St. Martins team, we will be back. :)

The setting is excellent and the staff we interacted with were friendly, however the food was overpriced and not particularly good. My friend and I ordered crab mayonnaise sandwiches. There was hardly any crab in the filling and the filling did not cover all the bread, just a dollop in the centre. The bread was cheap sliced bread and not that good. The menu said the sandwiches came with vegetable crisps - which was just plain crisps! The cost for this and a soft drink was nearly £18.00- we felt we were ripped off. We have had much much better crab sandwiches on the Scillies so feel the hotel chain is really letting the Scillies down- you expect to pay more because of the destination but there is no need for such poor quality as other places we have visited manage to provide much much better food.

We were a party of four, booked for dinner. The food was pretty good, and the service was ~ok. It appears that the hotel tries hard to offer an upmarket offering, but this is let down by attention to detail and - probably training of the staff. The tables were sticky, like the varnish hand been cleaned with the wrong chemicals and the staff seemed uneducated about the menu. However, we had a very pleasant dinner, with "good" food in a wonderful location.

I was a little apprehensive about my stay at hotel but I could not have been in better hands. Stayed for a few nights and the food and staff were exceptional . Rooms do require a little tlc but it is only a place to rest our heads. Loved our walks and the views over the beaches were fabulous, better than any Caribbean I have been to. Special shout out to housekeeping , especially Becky, no request was too much trouble. Guys in the restaurant were attentive but not pushy giving us plenty of time to enjoy the food. Will definitely be back

My Wife and I recently spent part of our Holiday on the Isles of Scilly at the Karma Hotel St. Martin's. What a disappointment! For a four Star Luxury Hotel it fell so short of our expectations In our room the toilet wouldn't flush properly, the window wouldn't open, at dinner the food was no better than food served at a Toby Inn, the Spa was closed and there were no treatments available. Entertainment consisted of a Chess Set with mismatched pieces, and two Jigsaw Puzzles with pieces missing. However our biggest concern was that sauces ( specifically HP Sachets) were six months out of date. The menu was the same every day bar specials and were very expensive. A two course evening meal for the two of us, and OK with a couple of cocktails was over £100, it was just not worth it. Our last evening on the Island we ate at the Seven Stones Inn, a two minute walk away and it was really nice and infinitely better value. I would have given a One Star Rating except for a very comfortable bed and a really nicely prepared breakfast

Dear Howard A Thank you for taking a moment to share your experience with ourselves, I am very sorry to learn of your opinion and that our offering had fallen short of your expectations, I am aware that certain issues had been addresses during your time with us and we are sorry you both encountering the issues you have raised above, the sauce issue I am extremely sorry for and this had been shared with myself along with learning and confirming that all other sachets had been in date in this particular box. We have since replaced the chess set as certain games and puzzles may be depleted from use over time with our guests and residents using them and pieces going missing etc, so we are very sorry once again. We do hope to welcome you back once again to experience the Islands and Karma St Martin's and to bring your experience in line with the standards we are more familiar with, Kind Regards & Best Wishes
