We used this park as an ideal base for exploring both Porongurups and Stirling Ranges. There are slabs on most sites for both caravan and awning/annex. Shirley in particular was very friendly and obliging. The amenities although a little dated where spotlessly clean as was the laundrey. They request you not use your caravan washing machines - something to do...

We're currently on a theatre tour through australia, stopping in many small towns and performing in primary schools and secondary schools. The roundhouse at the mount barker caravan park was really gorgeous. We got to hear the story of how the round house used to sit on ball bearings, and be turned to face the morning sun. We hoped the...

We stayed one night on a large powered site. Plenty of well kept grass and shade. It is very pet friendly and no discrimination re. size of dog (we have a Rhodesian Ridgeback). Shirley was very helpful when checking in and pointed us in the right direction where we could exercise Mr Dog. John was a huge help re getting...

Amenities were very clean, nice green space and a good central location to visit the wineries, Castle Rock etc. However we were unimpressed by the lack of PR shown by the staff member who checked us in. We acknowledge that we arrived slightly after office closing time due to work commitments and that was not ideal for her. However we...

The office ladies were lovely, very helpful. The sites are very generous and lovely and shady too. Its quiet, even though you can walk into town for coffee or shopping. A truly beautiful place to stay!

I stayed 4 nights in the Round House (RH) at the MBCP in late Nov 2015. On my approach to Mt Barker I immediately noticed the pink round building in the grounds of the MBCP, which is located nearby to the large round about. On arrival, I expressed my concerns regarding potential traffic noise and the proximity of the RH...

We received a nice friendly welcome at the office from the owners. The sites were very generous and well spaced apart the ablution blocks were clean and very airy and a nice native bush setting along the rear of the park and the sites opposite the main highway looked across the highway into paddocks with grazing sheep. The camp kitchen...

We hadn't planned staying in Mt Barker we were heading to Albany, but at the last minute changed our minds and stayed 2 nights in one of the cabins. It really was perfect, clean, and the best beds we have slept in and central to the town, with its cafes and restaurants with excellent food. Couldn't fault anything and management...
