We recently stayed at Smiths Beach Resort in October 2021. We booked a one bedroom apartment via hyatt.com as we redeemed points and have status as part of Hyatt's program. On arrival, the status was recognized and we were offered an upgrade to a one bedroom garden villa - great! The hyatt.com rate on booking noted that it included daily breakfast and daily housekeeping. However, front desk staff said that housekeeping was not included, but did offer it on one of the days. The villa was beautiful - chocolates and a bottle of wine on arrival - and a nice view of the pool and gardens from the room. We had requested a baby cot and baby gates which were all set up and ready for us on arrival. Unfortunately, the power tripped in the apartment constantly on our first evening - and went in and out during the night and into the next day. We contacted the staff the next day who came out quickly to try and repair. They couldn't identify the issue and eventually offered to move us to an ocean view villa. It turned out the dishwasher was leaking water onto one of the electric points. The ocean view villa we were moved to was simply amazing - the view is breathtaking. The rate is high for the ocean view villas but the view and amenities are worth it. Unfortunately, the pool area was closed for most of our stay - we weren't told prior to booking until our arrival. It was a bit cold anyway, but would had been nice to use the facilities. We have booked another stay in December, and hopefully the pool is back in operation. The restaurant on site (Lamonts) is great - the food, staff, and wine is amazing. We enjoyed a couple bottles of Lamont's white monster chardonnay on the villa balcony. Daily breakfast was good - the meals were large and delicious (the Pancakes, French Toast and Potato rosti are great). We drive an EV - and each unit has a 240v/10a point in the car bay which was convenient for mobile charging overnight. A few issues with our stay which were disappointing - but each time staff were friendly and attended to them - and we can't wait for our next visit to Smith's Beach Resort.

my room was a beach shack, shared with friends.. it was amazing I had never experienced such well appointed accommodation clean tidy everything that i could have wanted was there, good/great quality fit out and attention to detail from cleaning to kitchen utensils. view was superb, quiet and right on beach front overlooking public carpark to beaches, couldn't get any closer to the water on private land, even saw whale breech the water twice. it was very much enjoyed by myself and friends, close proximity to caves rd and greater south west.. thanks to all at smith beach resort, great job done

We are a family of 5. We stayed in a 3 bedroom apartment for 4 nights. The view was amazing. Had everything we needed. Very relaxing holiday. The restaurant Lamonts menu and food was excellent. They were very helpful with ensuring gluten free meals for our daughter. Never got the lady's name at the restaurant but she was exceptional, so welcoming, lovely and gave excellent service. Most definitely be back.

Just missed the boat. With the clientele that stay here I thought there would be more attention to detail . $700 per night I was expecting more . It is aesthetically pleasing with a lovely fire however it missed the small touches . For the price I expected a welcoming bottle of wine being in a wine region. There were no throws or blankets. Difficult to make a platter with no cheese board . And the sound bar kept dropping out the Bluetooth. Overall it was a lovely place to stay.

I recently stayed here for a couple of nights whilst on holidays, in one of their beach shacks. The beach shack was not what I expected - it was so much better! Parking spot right at your door, spacious kitchen, dining and living areas, fully equipped bathroom with laundry facilities, even an outdoor bbq and enclosed outdoor area (not to mention the verandah at the front of the ‘shack’). The quality of furnishings and the shack were very high. Staff service was of a high standard, friendly, helpful and professional. It is handily located at Smiths Beach, a very short walk to the beach and the cliff / coastal walks, and a short drive to Margaret River, Yallingup and Dunsborough - although you don’t really need to go anywhere else when the beach is just about on your doorstep. Both nights during my stay, I dined at Lamont’s which is co-located with the resort, and both times the service was outstanding, as was the food. I loved this place so much that it’s my new go to place when I’m holidaying in the Margaret River area.
