We camped here over Christmas for 3 nights. The communal area was good for meeting other people in the evenings and it was only a few minutes walk to a beautiful beach. Facilities were all good, had all the basics that we needed in the kitchen. Toilets and showers are reasonably clean- only issue we had was only being given...

A lot of it has been already said in the previous comments. We booked a self contained unit for four nights, paying $1000 all up. Booked in October from overseas, we wanted to stay over the New Years period in Whitianga. Unfortunately we didn't check the comments online. After few hours being in the unit, we realized that this is...

These guests came and saw me the night of their departure with complaints about their accommodation. I told them that if they had seen me at the time of checking in I could have dealt with any issues they had. I had no way of agreeing with them as they had already stayed 3 nights. Isnt that just common sense...

We arrived to the campground having arranged a cottage for the night. Upon check-in they had not received our reservation. Gave us a decent sized cottage with only 2 working light bulbs, none in the kitchen or the bathroom. Had to play roulette with them all night with oven mitts!! Dirty dishes from previous people in the room. Had to...

It is not clear from your ID when you stayed. I assume it is our unit 9 which is next to reception, which closes around 8pm. We do have a buzzer at reception for a staff member to respond to requests after hours, which can be unreliable the later the hour With 9 cabins in the campground we do rely...

We stayed in a fully self contained unit for 5 nights and it was perfect. To sit on the veranda with a cold beer as the sun slowly set, looking out at the bush clad hillside opposite is truly relaxing. Very friendly staff, very clean property. Lovely and peaceful. Even the ducks aren't too intrusive. Highly recommend stopping in and...

While I never stayed at the campground I was charged for a night and this is my review of the experience. Last September I made a booking for Easter weekend to attend a family reunion. When another family member, who had made a tentative booking via phone, alerted me the next day to the negative reviews the campground had received...

We pulled up in our camper van. We found the site beautiful, quite and extremely clean. The owners were helpful and the facilities were well above average. From a camper van side of things my wife and I highly recommend this site.

Old, rough and shoddy. Some parts of the cabin had never been cleaned, the pull cord for the bed light, looked like 'beef jerky' and everything looked like it had come from a second hand shop, sheets (cost extra), mugs, glasses, cutlery etc. is all different and all past there use by date. The common toilets had no soap or...

we had a South African guy, a chef, stay in the cabin, he used to dry this beef jerky because it was such a sunny cabin, maybe he just strung a slice up to the ceiling light above his bed because he liked to snack at night or was too lazy to get out of bed to turn the light...

Management, I think it's time that you really sit and take a good look at the reviews received on TripAdvisor. It's not a case of a few disgruntled customers expressing a personal vendetta, there is a consistent trend that people that visit your campsite rate it as a terrible experience. I think it is time to upgrade the facilities and...

You are correct that the past reviews are not good Mrs Majstorovic, though to be fair the most recent one in August from Danni was a personal vendetta, as you put it. She had been dumped by her boyfriend, the guy in the skyline and her stay with us and her comments were more about him than our campground, you...
