We have never left reviews before have just returned from a two week holiday in NZ and were so impressed that we felt compelled to share reviews of our favorite spots. We had a wonderful time at 970 Lonely Bay. Our room (and the entire house) was stunning, with a big balcony, high ceilings and a fresh sea breeze. Our... More

Our US travel agent working with local partners had us stay in three separate small lodges all of which were five star quality. 970 Lonely Bay was our third and is a lovely building and the rooms are large with a full range of amenities including complementary wine, beverages and snacks. Thank you for taking the time to review 970 Lonely Bay, this is always appreciated. I suggest during the busier months guests take the hike Cathedral Cove early before the crowds. It's the best time of the day! Sorry to hear your experience at Go Vino was a disappointment. This is a restaurant I recommend to all my guests. I... More

Thank you so much for your lovely review. Adam - our gardener must take credit for our beautiful gardens, and scrumptious fruit trees. Jane has created a relaxing and tasteful interior to ensure our guests feel at home. I'm thrilled you enjoyed your breakfast. Our locally sourced spreads and produce add to the experience. Lonely Bay was the first stop on our NZ tour and it was BRILLIANT. Kim was a superb hostess as she provided all the information and help you would need. The lonely bay hotel is first class. Nothing too much trouble. Kim was extremely coming and informative. The room was beautiful and on par to our expectations against what we paid. Breakfast was superb. The location is lovely. We so wanted to sit on the beach but the sun didn't shine for us, but great location to beach if it... More
