Have attended this restaurant a few times in the past.We attended a large 50th celebration meal for about 12 of us. This is a place were you take your own drink . The staff and service were excellent and the food was great with some good choices. The Hotel is out the way in place called Dunlop in Ayrshire. It...

Stayed here after a birthday gathering. Food was great. Five course ' banquet'. Hearty quality food. Desserts are particularly good. Not licensed but you can bring your own. Accommodation was quirky. Very comfortable and clean. Old style with fascinating, eclectic decor. No en suite. Loved it.

Stayed in a very large room with double and single bed. No en-suite shared facilities just along the corridor, although it does have a sink in the room. kettle for tea and coffee but no radio or t.v. Very poor mobile network, I liked that. The breakfast is served round a large table well set out with a very nice bowl...

We stayed here three nights and Ruth and her mom really made us feel straight at home. Easy access with car from Glasgow airport, also within close reach to amazing sights such as Devils pulpit and Ardrossan (where to take the ferry to isle of Arran!) really good breakfast with generous portions. We really really recommend it!

My partner and I visited for a Birthday meal, it's like going to your Granny's for dinner, good wholesome food cooked well and the sweets have to be tried to be believed, not licensed but you're welcome to BYOB, no corkage charges. Starter, soup, main course, sweet and tea/coffee all for £27.50 pp represents great value for money.

We had a terrific anniversary dinner tonight. The food is uniquely wholesome fare served in a very comfortable domestic setting. The service was exemplary and we were made very welcome. There are rooms available if you want to stay. There is no licence so it's BYOB. This is absolutely no issue and unusually, there is no corkage. An excellent experience...

Attended a talk followed by a delicious meal. The cuisine was excellent and served with a friendly and efficient service. There was a good choice of main courses followed by an abundant choice of delicious sweets and finished off with petit fours and a choice of coffee or tea. First time my husband and I have been there but would...

Myself and my partner came her with the in laws as a treat for looking after our dogs as we went to the sun. We can't stop talking about how amazing it is, it's a hidden gem. We all left very satisfied and with a bill for 4 of just a little over £100 even better. Please try and if...

Attended a birthday celebration in the company of 30 friends. From the moment we arrived we were made to feel very welcome. It was difficult to chose what to eat from the 5 course dinner menu as every dish sounded appetising. The food arrived and every course was delicious. The portions were extremely generous. The meal was spread over about...

excellent freshly cooked food in cosy surroundings ( not from the microwave - as seems to be normal these days!) Great value for money with the added bonus that you can bring your own wine at no extra cost. The only problem is, now that we have told you about this hidden gem, it is going to harder to get...
