Even if you didn't know that you were at West Point, you'd figure it out quickly from the dining rooms names for MacArthur and Patton, the stone architecture, and other not so subtle hints. The rooms are very comfortable, spacious, and include free wifi. We got an upper floor room on the river side which offered a good view of...

We’re so happy to hear that you enjoyed your recent stay at The Historic Thayer Hotel at West Point during one of our fall specials! Taking advantage of the opportunity to stay on the Hudson River view side of the hotel, especially during the fall, was a great decision. You simply cannot beat the views from there…unless, of course, you...

Luxurious hotel. Breath taking views. Delicious dining. We have been there three times over the summer and now on the way there again to capture the fall foliage which should be fabulous mid October at its peak comfortable beds very clean Great staff

The Thayer is located directly on the grounds of the United States Military Academy. (West Point). It was built in 1926 on the heights above the Hudson River. It has been expanded and well maintained but keeps the appeal of being a historic hotel. There is a fine dining restaurant, an up-scale bar, and a casual roof-top bar. It is...

We completely agree with you – you simply cannot beat the views from the hotel, and the feeling of being surrounded by history! We hope that you were able to take in some gorgeous fall foliage while you were with us -- the fall is one of the most popular times at the hotel not only because of Army Football,...

We came to the thayer today to enjoy once again their wonderful Sunday brunch which was absolute perfection. The food is fresh delicious and delectable. The wait staff could not be any more efficient. Ian and Robert steal the show. The assistant manager melissa is one and a million and we loved her instantly. We loved our stay at the Thayer. It was elegant yet comfortable. The staff were warm and helpful. We would definitely recommend this hotel. We ate at both restaurants during our stay and the food was very good. The only downside was we could only get one night stay and had to change hotels.

We’re pleased that you enjoyed your recent stay at The Thayer, but we’re sorry that you were unable to get two nights at the hotel. It’s a very popular place and books up very quickly for weekends, especially in the fall. We hope that you’ll be able to come back to see us again sometime soon, and that you’ll be...

They got you over a river-literally. Within the USMA and on the Hudson it's perfect. The rooms are a bit dated. Zulu was almost perfect until you wanted to sleep and then it was a bit noisy. But still I'd recommend a River View room as high as possible.

Aren’t the views of the Hudson River from The Historic Thayer Hotel at West Point gorgeous? You’re absolutely right – a riverview room, on as high a floor as you can get – is the best place to stay in the hotel. Because our hotel is a historic hotel, we do try to keep the historic décor and feel of...

We stayed at the hotel over a long weekend. Everything was very good the rooms very clean and Staff very helpful and friendly. The one issue was check in. We're so excited that you enjoyed your recent long weekend with us, staying in one of our dedicated rooms!
