The woman who checked us in was so lovely. We had a great time here for the night (in room 102) and we even got two free breakfast sandwiches and coffee in the morning from nearby deli! A great place, only 10 minutes from the heart of Saratoga, and very good accomodations. We will be back, and thank you again!

What a disaster ... the first room was dank, dirty and air did not work room 111 We were moved to room 105 The room was remodeled and in good condition .... but there was no table area to eat at, just a love seat. The woman at the desk was more than helpful.... she found a table and chairs from another room...life saver. THERE was ; No coffee maker, no cups, no ice machine, no soap, no towels just a bath towel that smelled. The room was newly painted a nice job, but the entrance door was not painted on inside The radiators were rusted and filthy, the inside of the closet was not pained either, dirty, The drapes were brown, and they had small holes on them? The brown shower curtain was so cheap, it had magnets, as it was a stand-up shower unit, but the floor is plastic They don't stick, it blows out as you are showering, NO bathmat They did offer a coupon for free breakfast sandwich at a next-door deli The sandwich was delicious .....for $ 145 I need a cup and a washcloth…

First, asked me to pay for my 2 rooms when I checked in despite my paper copy of receipt paid to Visa. Then charged me 33% more for one of the rooms than the rate on my printed confirmation. Was told because the room had tub. I was also told was 'lucky' she had to cancel another confirmed guest because rooms were not available. Oh, no lightbulb in lamp, no hot water in sink...but leaking anyway and no extra toilet paper though less than half full roll. More but hoping you have enough evidence to avoid this RIP off scam dump.

Stayed two nights at this hotel and couldn't wait for it to be over. Although we expected not to spend too much time in our room, we still needed to spend some time in between activities. Management of this hotel is awful. I must say that my experience was just like "Crystal1944" and "BHNH" I will list the reasons why this is a definite never again, don't and distasteful memory: 1) Unclean with a capital F for failure - definitely unclean: towels were dirty- black stains on them as if someone wiped the floors with them before we checked in, pillows did not have pillow cases only the cover matching the overlay, spider webs in corners of walls - for real, one wastebasket in the room - none in the bathroom 2) service was lacking: upon check-in had to wait for the "mother" to arrive when the teenage daughter called her to come check us in (by the way teenage daughter was responsible for cleaning the rooms - this is a big big tell - what teenager cleans their room properly? this is everything you need to know about cleanliness 3) never got through to owners phone number - once we were checked in - never got through again - voicemail was full and no-one answered the phone 4) lights in porch area by our room (110) was off at night, we had to use our phone flashlights to find our way - this is a security issue - a real security issue anywhere no matter, lights should be on once night falls. 5) Decor - there is none. We paid $115.00 a night. Never again. 6) They advertise breakfast - there was none. You can't even call to ask for it. 7) They advertise WiFi, again the code didn't work and you can't call them to ask. . . We could have stayed at any of the better hotels/inns/b and bs in Saratoga Springs for the same amount. We were disgusted at the thought of sleeping in that room. AND BTW: they have what appears to be an old TripAdvisor logo of support for their motel - probably from prior owners because this Birches Motel does not deserve to have the TripAdvisor approval. No way. Just don't stay at this place. You can do better for same or less. Just don't.…

I don’t know where they got those photos from but our room did not look anything like that it was dark and dirty. We never once in 2 days saw the lady who was supposed to be in the office never got our Free Breakfast. Never again.

I met friends at this motel..my room was very nicely laid out. Large for one person and on the quiet side of the building. Main road gets noisy. Very convenient to Saratoga, CVS, a Liquor store Stewart’s and a diner. New owners…I believe 4-6 months. They were very friendly but we didn’t see them that much. Thermostat could not be adjusted…could not be raised above 68 and wardrobe was covering it. Not used to staying at a place where you don’t have control over the heat. Would suggest having a small heater in the room. Picture showed a microwave but that was not exhausted. Refrigerator was a good size. Deadbolt did not work and closet door and bathroom door could not be shut all the way. Was told it was due to change of season..needed to be planed? Great location and grounds is beautiful..would be nice to be there when it was warmer and sit outside on the lawn swing. Plenty of free parking. I hope the owners do well..they still need to work out some kinks and be more reachable. Overall, a good value for the money.…

Nobody Answers the Phone! Is the Place Even Open? I just canceled a Thanksgiving reservation for three rooms because I could not get a response. I tried calling all day for two days and sent two emails because I had to ask about making a change to the reservation. No response to the emails and no return calls to my several voice messages. I truly feel that I have no way of knowing if anyone actually has even been at the Reception Desk in the last 2 days. The Birches’ policy of “free cancellation” is only good until 30 days before we arrive, and others hotels in Saratoga are filling up quickly for Thanksgiving so I felt that I had to make a fast decision. Shame on the Birches. I made that reservation in August because it was definitely the most reasonably priced, the most conveniently located to our family’s home, and the reviews were good. I wish I would have had the opportunity to add a good review :(…

Located a short drive away from Saratoga Springs, we still found it to be conveniently located for The Flurry at the convention center. The room was very clean, and had everything we needed. Good mattresses. A microwave and fridge. Small round table and chairs. Nice bathroom. It was quiet, and the owners were hospitable. The breakfast was two doors away, at a dep where we got coffee and a homemade breakfast sandwich of ham and eggs. Well made and quite good. Perfect start to a day of dancing!

Great experience. Don and Sharon (and Missy, the cat) make you feel like family. Close to town. Lots of nearby amenities. Very pleasant. We were in town for The Flurry. We would recommend it as a saner alternative to the more expensive offerings in town.

Had a confirmed reservation through an internet provider and called metel twice to confirm the week prior to arrival and to check on whether a coffee pot was provided in the room. At 9 PM the evening before I was to arrive, I received a call from them telling me they could not accommodate me. The could give me 3 of the 6 nights. The twon was completely booked and had been booked for several days before my trip. I was running an event in town and changing hotels on the biggest day of the event was not in the picture. The booking firm agreed that I did indeed have a reservation. No follow-up from them, no attempt to find another place, etc., etc. Bad news. Also learned from another member of my original party that they were not very accommodating. s

We received a review from you regarding us calling you and cancelling your reservation (night not listed} We have gone thur our reservations for the past month and did not find your name any where. we have had at least 8 rooms available each night for the past month due to the weather in this area.. I believe you have the wrong property in mind, plus this area has not had a weekend where every one was booked. Saratoga has over 30 properties and 2000 rooms.
