This is a lovely property. Very comfortable and cozy with a superb staff. We were there for three nights just last weekend. The property is right on NY-23 so I’d recommend not getting a room in the front of the main building as it was a bit noisy at night.

Had a great experience here, very pleasantly surprised. Stayed at the Inn in a one-bedroom with a king sized bed for two nights.

Pros: room is quite spacious, recently renovated, including seemingly new furniture and bathroom fixtures. Shower was surprisingly large. Very friendly front desk staff. Lobby was nicely decorated and cozy with a fireplace, free coffee and tea in lobby. Only a 5 minute drive to Windham Mountain (free shuttle available). The hotel is right next door, in the same parking lot, to Hickory Hill Market (open from 6 AM to 11 PM and very convenient for getting any food and other supplies, including fresh fruits, vegetables, and prepared food, plus brick oven pizza and a deli). Free wifi worked well. Small refrigerator in the room. Although did not go there, there is an apparently nice although pricey restaurant in the hotel.

Cons: walls between rooms are a bit thin, occasionally had television connectivity issues, toilet sometimes had a weak flush, not much toiletries available in the room. No in-room safe. Not many places to hang towels. Bed was large but mattress was a bit lumpy and not the most comfortable.

Overall great stay, very convenient to Windham Mountain. The hotel has an outdoor pool across the street but it is only open in the summer. I would definitely come back here again.

We stayed here for 2 nights in a 1-bedroom efficiency condo. Great location....just 1 mile from Windham Mt. ski resort. Bathroom was roomy and had big, fluffy towels. Kitchenette was fairly well supplied, but the mini fridge is a bit too small if more than 2 people stay there and bring food for more than 1 day that needs to be refrigerated. The room could easily hold a 14-cubic foot frig, which would also allow for better ice-making. We found 2 drawbacks....the carpet looked like it could use a shampoo, and the queen mattress on the bed sagged in the center, indicating that it needs to be replaced. Other than that, a good place to stay.

Stayed in a beautiful 1 br condo with a view of the Ski Mountain. I feel like not enough people know that by staying here you get 30% off of ski lift tickets! Such a short walk to town for dinner/bars/shops, and a free shuttle that takes you to and from the ski mountain. If you're skiing at WMC, this is the place to stay!

The hotel and our room looked nice. We asked for a room with a tub and got a handicap accessible shower instead. The bed was uncomfortable but we were tired. In the morning, we turned on the shower and couldn't get hot water. All of sudden this horrific smell enveloped the bathroom and out into the room. We went to the front desk and I could now smell the same odor in the lobby that was in the bathroom. I told them about the smell and no hot water. The front desk attendant makes a call to the maintenance man to go to our room only about the cold water and never offered to tell me about the water quality. I met him at the room and he said the the shower handle was installed incorrectly. I asked him about the smell and he said that the village has a high sulfur content in the water. That smell was unbearable. It was so nasty that we could not see taking a shower or brushing our teeth in that. I used a makeup remover pad. Everyone can tell me it won't hurt me, but I don't want to smell like a rotten egg. At $182 a night, we should have had a better experience. They took my money and didn't inform me of the problem.

The weekend was wonderful. For three of us the one bedroom room was a good size. The room was newly renovated, and had all the amenities including a microwave, stove and fridge. There was a pull out full size couch which proved to be very comfortable for sleeping. The bed was very comfortable as well. There are flat screen TV's in both rooms. Room had good soundproofing. We couldn't hear other guests' TV, phone, etc.
Housekeeping did a great job. I usually find something amiss but not this time.
Our room had a balcony which looked out onto Windham mountain. We enjoyed the views while having our morning coffee here, compliments of the hotel.
The area overall is peaceful and relaxing. The weather was beautiful, sunny and warm, so we took advantage of the heated salt water swimming pool. It's only a short walk directly across the street from the hotel and our room, #233.
Staff were friendly and accomodating.
We ate breakfast, lunch and dinner at different restaurants close by. When we return here we will definitely go back to Zicatelas 2 ( Mexican cuisine), Albergo Allegria (gourmet brunch) and Chicken Run ( homestyle cuisine).

I stayed at the Winwood Inn for three nights in early January, 2020.
Although every employee with whom I had contact was friendly and helpful, the accommodations were dismal.
The room was awful. There is no sink in the bathroom. The tub did not hold water. The entire room was painted in a prison green color creating a depressing atmosphere. There was only one mirror and it was nearly useless because of the two bulbs on either side of it nearly blinding one's vision. The pillows were hugh hunks of foam, completely uncomfortable and bad for one's neck alignment. There is absolutely no counter in the bathroom so there's no place to put a toiletry bag. There's no table so if you bring in a snack you have to eat it while holding it on your lap; not even a place to lay down your fork while you eat. No one even bothered to service our room on one day; on the other day I requested that it be cleaned. The room is charm-free. It was really depressing to be in; it was devoid of even a little comfort. The lighting was awful, adding to a depressive atmosphere. It felt like an institution to me. No closet; just a pole in the room with a few hangers.
I was so excited about staying here and was thoroughly disappointed. I am writing this only in the hope of averting someone else from experiencing the same disappointment. As I sat in the common area, I listened to the staff members answer calls from prospective patrons and took note of the tremendous difference between their descriptions and the reality.
What a shame.

Very satisfied with our stay at the Winwood. Rooms are clean and the property is well maintained. Jane and Bryan were both very helpful when we made the reservations and also with accommodating our dogs. Thank you for the excellent customer service. Great location close to town and restaurants and a fantastic gas station/market next door. The pool across the street is perfect and in a beautiful setting. Everyone was pretty good at mask wearing and social distancing too, and it never felt too crowded on a hot summer weekend. Only minor complaint is that the rooms and interior hallways are painted/lit very dark. A bit gloomy especially for the summer. The mattresses could also stand to be replaced. But we would still be happy to return!

Photos are deceiving! Rooms are dismal and drab! Water pressure in shower can barely rinse soap off and the floor in our room was not even huge gap under door and room smells like a basement. Only plus is that it has a nice market next door and it’s close to the slopes. Would not recommend and room is NOT worth the price!!!!!

We spent two nights here in one of the condominiums and we were extremely satisfied. The room was clean, cool, and comfortable in hot mid-July. The grounds were well maintained. We found the staff to be gracious and very willing to accommodate. We will definitely be back again.
