We stayed mid-week in the Evergreen suite, which was incredibly large and spacious. The gift of wine and smore's kids was a nice surprise.

The front desk provided pleasant and efficient service. I was able to ask questions and for housekeeping via email, which was responded to within a few hours. Having a text-based communications service would be even better.

Though there didn't seem to be many guests, there were large corporate groups on the various days of our stay. Wasn't a huge issue for us but they took over the restaurant one night and the rec room another, which made us feel a bit out of place. No one kicked us out, but they did warn us about the large group and had we decided to use those facilities at the same time, it would have been very awkward as those groups had hosted bars/food tables. So essentially if you stay as a guest at the same time as these groups, you probably wouldn't use those amenities.

Noise was an issue in our suite: there was a strange mechanical sound in one of the AC units, so I couldn't sleep well without using earplugs. And one night someone was moving furniture from about 10pm-midnight -- literally dragging furniture around for two hours! I was so thankful when it finally ended just after midnight.

The property itself is beautiful, with many outdoors areas to explore. We particularly enjoyed the pickleball, bocce, horseshoe, and the rec room with the shuffleboard, arcade games, and pool table.

Wish the food options onsite were better (terrible reviews!) but lots of cute cafes and diners nearby. Would recommend Fellow Coffee for their baked goods, and Day June for their service and pancakes. Chicken Run was also a fun night!

This review is way overdue.
The Wylder staff is so welcoming-special shout out to Kat the GM for ensuring an amazing visit and actually listening to and addressing any issues.
We have stayed at the property 6 times in the past year as our son is the Adaptive Sports Program. We have been there in summer and winter. They have always been very kind in accommodating all our requests- from our preference of a particular room to needing a mini fridge. Our August visit was particularly great as it was our sons 8th birthday and the staff decorated the room with balloons, a birthday sign and left delicious baked goods from babblers as a special treat!
The babblers staff is also incredible-not to mention it is hands down the best food in Windham!!
Also- yoga with Mary should not be missed. She makes a non yogi like myself feel comfortable and I now look forward to it with my stays.

This is a great spot if you're looking to simply "chill" with excellent food and a friendly staff. It offers a nostalgic escape from city life, but I would have rated it a 5-star if not for the experience with other guests.

The property would benefit from being adults-only. I understand that kids can be a part of vacations, but recent experiences suggest that some parents arenā€™t engaging with their children. Instead, they rely heavily on electronics, which was a major distraction. During a dinner with live music, a nearby family let their children play with loud iPads while being completely disengaged. When the manager asked them to silence the devices at my request, the father had an unreasonable outburst. Itā€™s puzzling why families would vacation together yet fail to interact or enjoy the experience.

The older buildings and rooms, while charming, have poor sound insulation, so you might hear every footstep from the room above. Additionally, the activities were poorly managed. We signed up for Pickleball but found the session overbooked, and despite arriving on time, we were ignored by the instructor. Similarly, the candle-making workshop was disrupted by a loud family who showed no respect for the program or other attendees.

Itā€™s frustrating to see that common courtesy seems to be lacking in some guests. My own children, now young adults, were raised with respect for others and an understanding that their behavior affects everyone around them. Sadly, this doesnā€™t seem to be a widespread expectation anymore

I stayed at this hotel recently, and I must say, it felt more like a 2.5-star property trying to pass as a ā€œ4-starā€ thanks to Hiltonā€™s branding. Our winter trip, especially with a young child, turned into an unnecessarily frustrating experience due to the hotelā€™s many shortcomings.

WiFi and TV Issues: The WiFi was incredibly spotty, making it nearly impossible to stream anything on their TVs, which only support Chromecast. There were no basic TV channels available, which wouldā€™ve been helpful for catching local weather or news. Adding to the frustration, the welcome screen on our TV displayed another guestā€™s name for an entire day of our stay, which felt careless and unprofessional.

Front Desk Experience: On our first night, I called the front desk to report the TV and WiFi issues. The person I spoke with was incredibly rude and dismissive. I was told that management would follow up, but I never heard from anyone the next day.

Housekeeping Issues: On the same day that management failed to reach out, housekeeping also failed to arriveā€”even after I submitted a request for service. We returned from a day of skiing to find trash still in the room and unmade beds. With no one responding to my requests, I ended up using a grocery bag I had on hand to manage trash.

No Room Service or Dining Options: Thereā€™s no room service at all, and the only on-site restaurant had a 2+ hour wait for dinner. My daughter and I were turned away entirely, which left us scrambling for food.

Resort Fees and Inconveniences: To top it all off, they charge $50 per night in resort feesā€”yet thereā€™s no service to back it up. The front desk is located in a separate building, and since no one answers the phone, addressing any issues required bundling my 4-year-old in snow clothes and boots to trek over in freezing temperatures. This level of inconvenience and lack of service is unacceptable for a property claiming to be 4-star.

Final Thoughts: If youā€™re considering this hotel, I strongly recommend avoiding it in the winter, especially if youā€™re traveling with kids. The lack of basic amenities, poor service, and logistical challenges made our stay far more stressful than it needed to be. This was not the quality or experience I expected from a Hilton-branded property claiming to be 4-star.

Many things to say about this hotel. First, I paid $500 including taxes and ā€œresortā€ fees for a one night stay. This is high for the quality of room that I stayed in. The room was described as a ā€œstream sideā€ queen room but I had a view of the parking lot. Also, the pictures on the website do not match the actual room I stayed in. Additionally, the price was much lower than when I booked eight months prior, but they would not honor the current lower price or upgrade my room. There is no heat either; instead there is a window unit that is extremely loud, so we certainly werenā€™t going to keep it on all night. Walls are paper thin too, so we heard our upstairs neighbors.

Ms. Curto, Thank you for sharing your feedback with us. I'm sorry to learn this and must say it is a bit disappointing. We would have truly appreciated any opportunity to resolve these issues had we been aware. I know the team accommodated the cancellation of your first booking and when you later inquired about a complimentary early check in, we took every available step to insure this was made possible for your convenience. It's unfortunate that we seemingly failed to develop any meaningful connection despite demonstrating our willingness to support your individualized needs. We hope that you may reconsider your position as we would certainly love to welcome you back with a flawless experience. All the best, Jack

My review of Wylder Windham is mixed. On the positive side, the hotel is squeaky clean, with brand new, comfortable bedding. They obviously put a lot of work and money into it. Nice finishes. Food was very good with limited hours in the restaurant, but I am sure that will change as they roll out more rooms. Views are lovely and will be spectacular in the fall. The older buildings are gorgeous and will be a welcome addition once the reno is complete. Pool was nice, but you are paying a resort fee just to use the pool. Not much of anything else is offered. The prices are a bit steep - $500 to $800 a night for a decently sized room. That would be OK if there were a ton of amenities and activities, but there arenā€™t. Why no cable TV? if you want to scroll around local channels to see whatā€™s happening, you are out of luck. Sure you can use your apps and streaming services, but believe it or not, not everyone has a smart phone loaded with their favorite shows. Showers have one half glass door, which inevitably floods the bathroom. Cleanup a hassle. No coffee maker in the room; tiny mini fridge. No charging ports for your devices; have to move furniture to plug in phone, etc. Every room has been renovated, so you would think they would have paid more attention to small details that you find in most hotels. All the things Iā€™ve listed can surely be tweaked and are not insurmountable. There is so much potential, but they need to provide the small creature comforts ā€“ like cable, coffee, comfy seating in the rooms, tissues in the bathroom, maybe a small dresser or credenza for storing your stuff. In the meantime, they need to drop the prices and sack the ridiculous resort fee. I came away annoyed. When all was said and done, two nights came to over $1,500 and that didnā€™t include food. They are looking for a younger, more adventurous clientele, but I donā€™t know a lot of young adventurers who can drop $500 to $800 a night just for a bed.

I came to the Wylder with a group of friends for a relaxing birthday get away. The property is so pretty and cozy. The surprise birthday decorations and welcome s'mores kits in our room was very special . We booked a room with two, it was very spacious and clean, loved the big balcony with its view. There were plenty of amenities and things to do in the area. Snow tubing was so fun!!! The local bar we went to had karaoke. We had a cocktail class at Babblers we enjoyed. Also had my bday dinner at Babblers, food and drinks were amazing but most of all the service was top notch. I had the Apple butter old fashioned, delicious! We visited a winery with an amazing view. Thanks Kathy for being so attentive. Canā€™t wait to go back to ski!! šŸ«¶šŸ½

Wylder hotels always does it right. They treat their guests amazingly well. This Windham location is a true overnight getaway for 24 hours that feels like 3 days. Everything you need it right on site, and something for everyone in the family to do. You can come all year round since there is a heated pool, saunas, an indoor rec room for games and fireplaces. Itā€™s the little things- you can order your drinks poolside and the loungers have pull out trays for them. You can play pickleball on their courts or ask for a tube at the front desk and go tubing right on the River surround the property. #getWylder

From the moment we arrived we were greeted with a very warm welcome and offered a cocktail making class. Unfortunately we were too hung over to attend.
We were escorted to our room and the staff showed us where everything was. They set up a cocktail, dried fruit and nuts as a welcome snack. Wow!! I loved this so much.
We had a gorgeous corner room with so much space to move around and the chairs on the balcony is perfect to just relax and have coffee or a cocktail.
In the evening they had several fire pits going so you had some privacy if wanted. I would suggest to go grab a drink from Babblerā€™s and just chill.
In the morning their cafe had a wide selection of breakfast, pastries, coffee juices. The ham and cheese croissant was amazing.
Their pool is nice and heated. It was a refreshing dip on a hot sunny day. We also used their sauna and it was nice and hot.
The Rec room downstairs is a nice touch for some friendly competition. Thereā€™s lot of space that you can lounge too.
Wylder really has something for everyone of all ages to do or not do. We had a very relaxing weekend. We would definitely go back again soon.
Thank you to the amazing staff and Kat the manager for your hospitality.

All of the rooms in the Evergreen and Main Building, as well as the Tamarack Suites comes with a compact refrigerator. One can be added to Traditional and Traditional Plus rooms for a small fee.
