A very relaxing stay. Room was comfortable and clean. The hostesses, mother and daughter, are welcoming and warm. The mother, Pansi, is an accomplished artist whose work graces the house. Breakfast was homemade and delicious, including on different days fresh-baked breads, fruit, fluffy waffles, and farm-fresh eggs thoughtfully provided by the 4 pet chickens (not to worry—they roam freely about the property). Walking distance from the town center and trails. I especially enjoyed hiking the Comeau property. Some years back when I last visited Woodstock, it still had something of a hippie vibe, with a number of “head shops” and at least one aging flower child showing up from time to time around town. Now, 60 years on from the festival that bore its name, it’s more a cute town with restaurants and local shops, like many another town. But it’s still a nice place to unwind for a few days, and Morning Glory is the perfect base to do it from.

Location is close to downtown, can be walked but sidewalks are minimal. Comfortable bed and pillows - good night’s sleep. No tv or radio in room, so bring your own music. Hosts friendly and hospitable.

My boyfriend and I made a last minute decision to make an overnight trip. We decided on staying at this B&B and it was a good choice. Convenient to town, clean, and the owner (Ponsi) and her daughter (Diane) are wonderful hostesses. Breakfast was delicious and Diane sat with us and we chatted and learned that Ponsi is a musician and an artist .... and that the artwork throughout the house is her doing. Thank you both for a lovely stay! Debbie & Keith

This B and B was perfect, a truly delicious and healthy breakfast, beautiful room, incredible hospitality and all in a gorgeous house on a fabulous property with a steam, rooster, very well located close to town, the monastery, and all the great hiking trails. I had visited 25 years ago and it was so nice to come back as see it is still run by the same family ! Thank you so much! Alexandra, Fia and Naum

Good points: location within walking distance of the centre of Woodstock. Large room, comfortable bed. Beautiful artwork all around the house. Problems: the property really needs renovating, very dated inside, peeling paintwork, bathroom door wouldn't shut properly, musty smell. Breakfast inadequate, very limited, for example, on one morning a frittata type omelette had to be shared between 8-10 people! We needed to go out for breakfast afterwards.

I have stayed for 1 night travelling from Brazil to visit Woodstock for the diary time. The overall experience was outstanding. First, I arrived very late and the owner provided me Al instructions for my accommodation. Breakfast was great with fresh made waffles. The location is fantastic. Close to town center and also there is a small park behind the B&B that you can get a light trail with besides the water flow. I was also able to drive to Kaaterskills Fall and Shokan Reservoir. The owner also took me to do kayaking in spark 10 min drive from the B&B. What else could I expect? I had an outstanding time here.

Super cozy place to stay. Walking distance to town and nightlife. Had a private bath in our room. Room was clean and comfortable. The host was very lovely. Homemade crepes were a delicious breakfast treat!

I booked a one night stay for an upcoming trip in May 2019 at this B&B through hotels.com and received a call today from Morning Glory telling me that they will not honor the one night booking I made and paid for in full last week through Hotels.com because they don't take one night bookings. It said nothing about this on Hotels.com. She had the gall to ask me to call Hotels.com to fix it. The reservation is non-refundable. I am shocked that a business establishment would be so unprofessional and disorganized as to call the customer directly saying they will not honor a reservation, not work their policies out with Hotels.com, or honor a contract that is paid in full. Disappointing to say the least. I have put a complaint in with Hotels.com and am seeking a full refund. Stay away.

From the mixed reviews online I would say that our stay was similar to many that people here quote. Nothing really negative, but as other guests have said the home could use some updating if accommodating guests. Paint, some musty smells, and generally a hands off approach. In checking in we were essentially handed keys and that was it. No small talk, or offer of an orientation to the area. The place is run by a mother/daughter, and the younger hostess was friendlier during breakfast. The house was the family home, and rooms do not look like there have been many changes through the years. Beds so-so, thin towels and no real amenities in the bathroom (a bottle of Head and Shoulders and no blow dryer). Location was good, although the dark road on a rainy day made it hard to walk to town at night. Breakfast was good.

Disappointed with this B&B. Needs painting and updating. Smelled very musty. We had an event Saturday morning at 9 and needed to drive 1/2 hour and our hostess wouldn’t accommodate us for breakfast so we had to go out and buy our own breakfast. Saturday night we had my nephew and his wife for whom I paid extra and she told me she was too busy to make us breakfast. Again we had to go buy breakfast elsewhere. There was only one other guest there that night! We still had to pay full price for our rooms and the extra for my nephew and wife! What B & B doesn’t accommodate their guests for breakfast? We had only asked for 7:30 or 8am! Because it was the weekend of the NYS sheep and wool festival our room was a higher price than usual. I’d never stay here again and would not recommend it.
