Hard to imagine a more delightful bed and breakfast experience than we just had at the DeForest House. All the elements that you (or at least we) would want for that weekend away: beautiful house, comfy room and bed, absolutely delicious breakfast, and gracious and engaging hosts Catherine and John who made us feel right at home. Will definitely be...

What a wonderful stay! The room beautiful, the bed super-comfy ... and Catherine's considerate hospitality and elegant touches made us feel welcome and pampered. She made dinner reservations for us, served a delicious breakfast ... it was a delightful place to stay.

My friend and I were in Woodstock for a 2 days art workshop and stayed there for one night. Catherine the owner was very welcoming. Even though we have never met, we felt right at home. The rooms were comfortable and clean with lots of attention to details. The next morning we were pampered by coffee served to the room...

My husband and I stayed here at the beginning of October. Our stay could not have been better. After our drive from JFK to Woodstock, we were welcomed warmly by Catherine and John despite our late arrival. The room was immaculate, plenty of towels and toiletries. Breakfast was plentiful, far too much for two. Fresh orange juice, fresh fruit, yoghurts,...

We almost always stay in a BnB when we go away. Catherine and John are amongst the top hosts we have ever stayed with. Catherine is delightful. My husband can sit and talk to John for hours. Woodstock is a great town and Catherine and John have made our stay exceptional. They made reservations for us for dinner and even...

We can't say enought about our stay. Do I start with the brilliant and welcoming hosts, Catherine and John Mason? Or do I start by describing driving up to their countryside property? We learned about the art colony that was Woodstock, in the 19th century. Books, even art supportsJohn's discussion. Bytheway, our 'Morroccan Room" had plenty of lovely touches. Our...

We stayed at DeForest House for 6 nights in September, 2016, and enjoyed every moment. We are hardy travelers who rise early, spend all day out sightseeing and enjoying the area, and retire comparatively early to relax and plan the next day. This means we did not take advantage of our hosts' hospitality to the extent that others surely do,...

Catherine and John Mason are wonderful hosts. They have a beautiful home, and the rooms are en suite, which offers privacy. A beautiful swimming pool on lush, peaceful grounds. Delicious breakfast and engaging conversation. Looking forward to returning when in Woodstock again.

We and our friends spent two nights at this great B&B right in Woodstock. Catherine and John are the owners, and we felt like they're our best friends by the end the weekend. Catherine is originally from France and she made us feel like we were in Provence, with great food for French-style breakfast and very warm hospitality. John is...
