My husband and I took our dogs here for a two-night weekday stay to do some hiking. The hotel was beautiful. The weather didn’t cooperate as much as we would have liked so we did not get to take advantage of some of the amenities like the outdoor deck and fire pit area but they look great. Staff was nice and has good suggestions for things to do when rain cancelled our original plans. Rooms were clean. Would definitely recommend.
Just spent last night there. What a gem. A peaceful oasis, hard to believe it's just off the main street. Large studio room with deck overlooking the small falls. Fridge (didn't see a microwave), and bottles of cold water placed out. Books on the shelf, and a turntable with vinyl records. King size bed, 2 chairs for relaxing (another 2 on the deck, dining table with chairs. Trees all around. You really feel like you're in a tranquil forest, but a 2 minute walk and you're on Tinker Street with restaurants, shops etc.
One cannot argue that Woodstock Way is a beautiful place to stay. The rooms are decorated to soothe the soul and the surrounding grounds are spectacular. One does pay a premium price to stay in such beautiful surroundings however the problem is that the managment and staff fall very short of the quality of the physical environment. The downside of our stays have been a consistent sense that the place should be renamed “Management’s Way or Woodstock Our Way”. There is a consistent sense that guests at Woodstock Way are merely intruders that will most likely do something wrong, break a rule or try to get away with something. It feels like the opposite of hospitality - like there is a mistrust and some very forced polite, insincere conversation, but a general sense that guests are an inconvenience that must be tolerated. We find ourselves wishing that management’s style more closely reflected the serenity of the physical spaces. They just consistently miss the mark. We switched to a wonderful rented cottage, got a 5 star rating as guests and thoroughly enjoyed Woodstock OUR Way during our last stay, which also cost mush less, just up the street from Woodstock THEIR Way.…
This hotel is a little bit of heaven. It is set alongside a waterfall in the midst of this charming small town, yet feels idyllically set alongside a secluded rambling river. The room’s deck allowed for serene moments overlooking it all. The bed is also heavenly. The shower controls are thoughtfully placed at the opposite end of the large walk in shower so you’re not immediately drenched in cold water as you turn the shower on. The furnishings are beautiful with thoughtful touches, perfectly accented by carefully chosen art…not to mention a turntable and great selection of vinyl LPs. This hotel was clearly designed with guest’s pleasure in mind. Take advantage of that and enjoy the perfect getaway here.
This was a completely lovely experience and worth every penny. The hotel “room” was more like a studio. It was enormous. I was in a tannery suite and a half of the studio is windows looking at the waterfall, so it is absolutely stunning. Because it’s newer buildings, everything is shiny and new and the walls and windows are well-built and well insulated. A.k.a. not buggy. The hotel staff were incredibly nice and helpful, and the hotel has its own signature bath and body scent which is quite delightful and you can buy in the reception area. I strongly recommend staying here.
We had the most magical stay at Woodstock Way when we eloped there in December 2021. Victoria and crew could not have been more welcoming or wonderful:) Our Waterfall suite was the PERFECT place to stay. Perfect Catskills-inspired decor. Soft, comfy beds and bedding. The tiles in the bathroom alone were so exquisite, I took pictures so we could copy them for ourselves. Every tiny touch and detail was chic and useful. The lattes in the lodge are divine. The sofa was like a cloud. The roaring fires on the porch at night are an event unto themselves. But waking up and falling asleep to the sound of a gently tumbling waterfall was probably the best part of all. It's amazing to think that a location in the middle of downtown Woodstock feels like a private, resort oasis.
Woodstock Way Hotel is a hidden gem! Absolutely beautiful! Spotlessly clean rooms and bathrooms which all smell amazing! The Tanner is a cool little spot to hang out or get coffee and treats or some locally made gifts to bring home. The girl who checked us in and brought us our coffee and pastries in the morning could not have been any sweeter of a person! The only thing we could have asked for was to spend more nights there! But we will be back much sooner than later.
I highly recommend this hotel to anyone Staff here are very helpful there not mean and also pet friendly that always a plus cause I was kind of neverous bringing my dog around new people but she adjusting well
We stayed in a King suite (514), which was on the second floor facing the waterfall. Felt like we were staying in the coolest treehouse ever. Highlights included drinking morning coffee on the balcony soothed by the sounds of the waterfall (muffled the intermittent construction noises...not a big deal). Gorgeous furnishings and bathroom-exceeded our expectations. Staff was great. fyi: Waze was very confused finding the entrance to the hotel. Make sure you look for entrance on Tinker Street.
We had such a beautiful stay at this really (and I mean really) cool hotel. The waterfall was gorgeous, waking up looking out the gorgeous window and feeling like we were in the trees was so peaceful. The staff was great- Tia, the manager, especially! Little touches like La Colombe coffee and lattes, pretty glass carafes and glasses filled up every night with water, record players, bath products that smell woodsy made everything even better. We had an amazing time in this hip little enclave inside of a hippie town! Thank you!
