no air conditioning, no TV, no counter space in bathroom, no closet, very loud traffic noise, VERY LOUD train noise at least twice in middle of night; threadbare towels, some torn; the only service provided was room cleaned daily;

I am 66 years old and have stayed in bed and breakfasts for at least 40 years.The Black Mountain Inn is up there with the best - carefully chosen furnishings, delicious breakfast, comfortable beds, cotton sheets, knowledgeable hosts -what more could you ask for?

we stayed 4/1/18. very enjoyable. it was a wonderfully relaxing stay. breakfast was incredible. the owner was the embodiment of gracious hospitality. proximity to asheville and black mountain is perfect. will stay again if ever in the area. also has free wifi.
