We stayed at the Red Rocker Inn on our most recent trip to the Asheville, NC, area. It is a very pretty, homey place. The proprietors made us feel right at home. They have a restaurant, too. Which is worth visiting, the food is delicious. Our breakfast was buffet style and it was wonderful. Everything I tried, I liked. Best...

However, if you like lovely small mountain towns, well tended older homes, and kind, gentle folks who offer a blessing before serving a wonderful breakfast, this may be your place. Warning, there is only one ancient wooden console tv and it was never on. We will be back.

My family and I just had a 4 night stay at Red Rocker Inn, and we had a wonderful time. The atmosphere is warm and friendly, and the owners are attentive and really seem to love what they do. Breakfast every morning was divine, and the blessing given every morning by owner Doug was so appreciated by my family. The...

Room, people, parking, access, food was very good. Clean and inviting, spacious, no TV(good). Beautiful setting and leisure pace leads to a less hectic pace. The food for breakfast was ample and tasty. The dinner was really good.

Thank you for reviewing us, Skip. We do prefer a less-hectic pace here, so we're glad you felt it. And so pleased you enjoyed your stay. Just to mention to future guests, we do have one TV in the living room for your enjoyment. Thank you again !

This place was just wonderful. The breakfast was great, the staff was very friendly and helpful, and the bed was one of the most comfortable we've ever slept in. Easy to walk downtown, too. When we next go to Asheville, we plan to spend the last night here.

Stayed here for one night and wished we could have stayed longer. Black Mountain is a cute little town and the Red Rocker Inn was special. Got this recommendation from the Travel Information, who were most helpful. Owner gave us a discount as we had booked riect with them rather than through TA or any other Agency Very good location...

Perfect B&B atmosphere, wonderfully kind staff, delicious food. Arrived for one night in Primrose room. Room was very quiet, tidy, and quaint. Dinner and breakfast were unreal. We will most certainly be returning.

I had an amazing dinner at the Inn last year and decided to bring my mother back to enjoy Black Mountain and the beautiful acoomdations. It was a trip she will always remember. The breakfast offered was different and delicious each day, wonderful hosts and beautiful grounds. Our room was a bit small for two queen beds but very comfortable.

I don't stay at many B &Bs but this place was top of the line for any inn. Service was very good. Room was spacious. Front porch and grounds felt like I was relaxing at home. Thanks for writing a review, Gary. We're so glad you enjoyed your stay and your meals. We do try to make guests feel at home and to offer fare that's a step above expectations. That's our Bumble Pie you're describing. It's really popular and has been on the menu for years. Thanks again !

Nice dinner and visit with friend. Unrushed and attentive waitress. It was so hard to decide on entree so we had trout and also ordered the spaghetti squash to share between us. The tomato bacon jam atop the trout was a nice addition and I could eat the pistachio whipped goat cheese which topped the spaghetti squash on anything. My...

Hi Carolyn, thanks for coming to dinner and for taking the time to post a review. We appreciate that so much. Just so future diners know... yes, we always have a "dessert of the month". That means half the sale price of that particular dessert is donated to the designated charity of the month. Your key lime pie helped us...
