Beautiful accommodations, well maintained and very clean. Short, easy drive to the Blue Ridge Parkway and Asheville. Gourmet breakfast and wonderful hosts who make it feel like you are staying with family. Attended a large Music Festival which was minutes away. We have traveled all over the world and the Arbor Inn would be in the top 5 on our list of accommodations.

My family rented this entire Bed and Breakfast for my daughter's wedding last weekend. I was so excited to surprise them and, they were so very impressed and happy with everything about the Arbor House and Theresa and Jim, our hosts. Each room is more gorgeous than the other, comfy beds, jacuzzi tubs, fabulous views. And, one of my fave things, serenity, quiet. You will not find another property like this with a world class Chef cooking the best food in the area. We were all so very satiated and Happy with the breakfasts that we were served, the food was fabulous and more than we thought we could eat....of course we didn't leave much..... Teas, coffee, drinks and Wine was available to us whenever we so desired and, the company of Theresa and Jim and their knowledge of the area was so appreciated and needed!!!!! We cannot thank you enough and, I really can't say enough wonderful things about this place and, I recomend it to anyone!!!! And, we will be back!!!!

We visited Arbor House after reading so many wonderful reviews. It is our determination that the 5 star reviews were all spot on. What a wonderful house in a special location. Our hats are off to Theresa and Jim for the way they operate so efficiently. They work hard and it shows in their attention to details. The entire house is super clean and well appointed. Both Theresa and Jim provide fabulous breakfasts and engaging conversation. We hope to make the Arbor House a regular stop.

We stayed in Black Mountain to visit Asheville. We ended up spending more time in BM then we did in Asheville. There is so much to do in this area and everything else is close by. The town is super quaint with lots of options for eating and shopping. Visit the White Horse for some live music. The town shopping area is a very short drive from the Arbor House. The hosts Jim & Theresa are very welcoming and full of information for your visit. Don't plan anything until you arrive and talk to them. They've thought of many things to help make your visit more enjoyable. The house is beautiful and has many common areas for sitting or walking and enjoying yourself. The breakfast was one of the highlights of our day. It was easy to visit with the hosts and other guests in an intimate and very home-like setting.

Cathy and I had been researching Black Mountain for most of this year. She stumbled upon Arbor House and fell in love with the beautiful craftsman styled house, nestled in the mountains of NC. Arbor House became a priority on our bucket list. With Covid, family health issues and disastrous FL trip, I decided to book a stay at Arbor House as a surprise birthday getaway for my love. Theresa and Jim could not have been more accommodating. The house is gorgeous! We had a lake-view room with a private balcony, just perfect for a glass of wine and watching the sunset! Breakfasts were gourmet and a thoughtfully stocked butler's pantry made us feel welcomed and pampered. Theresa and Jim spent time with their guests and provided dining and sightseeing recommendations. We absolutely love Arbor House and plan to return. We will definitely sing it's praises to family and friends. Theresa and Jim, thank you for a wonderful trip! Sincerely, Cathy and Greg

Response from Theresa Fuller, Other at Arbor House of Black Mountain
Responded 2 weeks ago
It was really ironic that both of you had found us separately and had the same idea of coming to stay at Arbor House. We could not have asked for better guests. It was fun getting to know you during our breakfast conversations and talking about your family, etc. Thank you so much for such a beautiful write-up. We will look forward to seeing you again! Until then, enjoy the Autumn season. Warmest regards, Jim and Theresa
