Room was very clean and well stocked with towels, bath cloths, etc. Staff was very helpful and pleasant to work with. They were very accommodating with any request we had during the weekend. The banquet staff went out of their way to make our event a success. The complimentary breakfast was excellent, hot and fresh. Our stay was very pleasant and enjoyable. Would definitely stay here anytime we are in the Blowing Rock area.

Hotel's Favourite
This is the first time we stayed at Meadowbrook Inn in Blowing Rock. What a gem! The hotel is conveniently situated near Main Street. It’s about 5 minutes leisurely walk to many lovely shops and restaurants of Blowing Rock. Upon check in, we were surprised to receive either red/white wine or big bottle of water as a welcoming gifts. We had two connecting two-queens rooms on the first floor. They were quiet, which normally is not the case for first floor hotel rooms. During this Covid pandemic, I am most picky about hotel cleanness because getting sick would be the last thing I want for a vacation. I am very pleased to find that the rooms were pristinely prepared and totally met my high standards. Beds and pillows were comfortable. We were all well rested. The most impressive part of this hotel comes to the STAFF. I casually mentioned to the concierge the night before that we wouldn’t be able to enjoy the complimentary breakfast, because we had to leave early for our biking reservation. And Guess what? The next morning as we checked out, there were already breakfast bags full of delicious muffins, yogurts etc. waiting for us. The staff really go way and beyond to make us feel pampered. Thank you Sterling and the morning staff (sorry I forgot your name) for being so thoughtful and didn’t want us to get hungry for our 2 hour bike rides. We would definitely be back!

My husband and I stayed for the weekend to celebrate our anniversary and the hotel was beautiful. It was quiet, there is a large breakfast buffet in the mornings and the staff are all very helpful. We will return 🙂

Meadowbrook features sensational location within easy walking distance of most Blowing Rock attractions. Has a comfy down home feel and an honest to goodness real breakfast served by friendly folks. Gazebo, ducks, and natural area give this place a great vibe. Meadowbrook is nice, but retains that element of putting on a pair of your favorite blue jeans just out of the dryer. on a cold winters day !!

The Meadowbrook Inn in Blowing Rock was the perfect stop on our fall foliage trip down the Blue Ridge Parkway. The inn was very comfortable and inviting the minute we stepped foot inside the lobby/registration area. The autumn decor that greeted guests was a nice touch and the staff was welcoming. The rooms were comfortable, clean and spacious and the grounds were lovely…illuminated at night with twinkle lights. The complimentary hot breakfast was a wonderful way to start the day in their lovely breakfast room. After spending the last 5 nights at hotel chains, it was a pleasant change to stay in this lovely boutique hotel. The Inn is within walking distance from charming downtown which is filled with shops and restaurants. We walked to Bistro Roca, which is slightly off the main street but only 0.4 mile away. It was a warm and cozy restaurant to dine at on this chilly evening and was very good.

Remodeled, clean, comfortable, good location, helpful staff. Our first visit to Blowing Rock after spending days in North Carolina in the past and will definitely return to Blowing Rock and visit the Bass Lake and surrounding areas. The Inn was just the starting point of a wonderful getaway.

We attended a car club event here, over a four day period. I was very impressed with the food at every evening's reception and buffet dinners. The hotel does not have a restaurant, but does cater for groups. Breakfast (included with the room) was delicious every morning with both hot and cold choices, including some interesting items like apple pancakes and spinach souffle. The venue is spacious for a large group, and the kitchen can handle it, with perfectly cooked wonderful appetizers on one evening, followed by fabulous buffet meals for breakfast and dinner the other days. Appetizers included tender, perfectly cooked shrimp and grits served in champagne glasses (and they must have made 100), crispy chicken and waffle bites, barbecue sliders, crudite tray, and fried green tomatoes with pimento. German night had pork schnitzel and cod with mustard cream sauce, with warm tricolor potato salad, green beans and cabbage. Awards dinner had tender flank steak (both rare and well done slices) with feta cheese and crispy onions, perfectly grilled salmon, fresh green salad and steamed veggies. Service was accommodating, and gracious. Some participants did complain that the air conditioner was loud in their room. They do need to clean their pond and stream where the ducks are raising a family. The water has a brackish smell.

My husband and I stayed for four nights while I attended a Rope Retreat with Mountain Thread Company ( held at Meadowbrook) and my husband enjoyed the local golf course. Our room was spacious and very comfortable and clean. We ate the complimentary breakfast here every morning. Very conveniently located and quaint Blowing Rock is well within walking distance. Staff is friendly and very helpful. We will be staying here again during our next visit! Highly recommend!

We booked this hotel based on the great reviews, however, our experience seems inconsistent with that of others. As a former Guest Relations manager for a major hotel chain, I know a thing or two about what it means to be in the hospitality industry and providing guest with the best possible experience. We arrived early, and I acknowledge that fact up front with the front desk clerk, who proceeded to 'school me' (a 60 year old, savvy traveler who just spent a month in Europe) that check-in was not until 3:00, and then asked my name--Opportunity for hospitality training #1. I asked if we could leave our car at the hotel while we walked into the village and have lunch, she said that would be fine. After a couple of hours exploring the town and having lunch we returned at 1:45 and I went in to check if a room might be ready, and again told that check in was not until 3:00--Opportunity for hospitality training #2. No attempt to reach housekeeping to see if a room was available. To be honest, I've been treated better by TSA agents. By this time it was raining so we got in the car and visited the outlet stores to kill more time. Returned at 2:50 and was helped by another employee who couldn't have been more pleasant and the antithesis of the 7-3 shift person, who was still there and just glared. Unfortunately, we were assigned to a connecting room, and could enjoy every bit of the neighbors conversation as the walls and connecting door are thin. We tried to relax obviously there was a family group traveling together and people coming in and out of each others rooms (including the connecting room we were assigned to), and children running up and down the hall. Opportunity for hospitality training #3. After 45 minutes of this, we decided to leave the hotel and make the drive back home. If you are going to work in the hospitality industry, the n umber one rule is focus on doing the right thing by your guests--rather than rigidly enforcing rules and doing things the 'right' way. That's for the TSA agents.

Response from Savara Hospitality, Owner at Meadowbrook Inn
Responded 17 Aug 2022
Thank you for your review and for providing feedback about your experience. On behalf of our entire team, we do sincerely apologize for missing the mark on so many aspects of your stay. Your constructive feedback on our front desk agent at the time of your arrival is truly appreciated. Needless to say, the encounter you experienced is inconsistent with our philosophy on guest service. We have shared this with the appropriate members of our team and this experience will be utilized as part of our ongoing staff development program. We do our very best to be proactive about assigning guests in adjoining rooms upon request only. However, when we are at a very high occupancy such as the dates of your reservation, we sometimes will need to assign guests not part of the same party with rooms that have locked and secured connecting doors. That said, we encourage our guests to contact our front desk team if there are any issues with noise so that we can do our best to rectify the situation swiftly. It pains us to hear that you decided to head home after an unsatisfactory experience, and we really would like to make things up to you. We would greatly appreciate it if you contacted our management office to discuss your experience further and so that we can make amends.
