Very pleased with this Mom & Pop kind of stay. Once we got into our room, we decided that we would need two more pillows so that each one of us would have two pillows a piece. We also wanted to get enough towels and washcloths into our room that would carry us thru the duration of our stay so that we wouldn’t have to keep asking on a day to day basis. We called the office and within five minutes our request was completely fulfilled. We ladies felt very safe in the environment of our motel and the many shops surrounding our area that was in walking distance. 🤗No complaints here!!

My husband and I took a road trip down the BRP in October and spent 2 nights at the Blowing Rock Inn. Being seniors, we chose this location because it was a motor inn and you could directly access your room from the outside without using any elevators, etc. Our room was very clean and comfortable. The room included 2 wicker chairs outside the door and a small table, so we were able to enjoy our meals outside and converse with other travelers from a safe distance. The housekeeping staff used a request card system that you left outside your room for any amenities that you wanted replaced and you left your own garbage and used towels outside the room for them to pickup, you picked up clean towels yourself at the Office. We felt very safe at this location and the Inn was walking distance to downtown Blowing Rock where you could go to take out dinner/breakfast etc.
We would highly recommend this property for future adventures on the BRP and surrounding areas.

My Husband and I stayed at the Inn over Labor day weekend. The inn is located right on Main street and we walked to restaurants and shops. The room was lovely and the bed was super comfortable. I truly appreciated the Covid 19 protocols. The owners also put tremendous care in the maintenance of the rooms and property. We love the bench swing. Awesome visit- thank you. Teresa

We booked here on a whim and are so glad we did. The motel is an old school type place from the outside so we were most pleasantly surprised by how updated, comfy and spacious the room was. It was clean, bright and nicely appointed including a very large TV, microwave, fridge and Keurig machine. The bathroom is well lit, spacious and has a nice tub/shower. The sink doesn't have much room at all for putting toiletries so that was a bit of a challenge. The sink is next to the toilet and above the toilet are the towels. Perhaps the towels could be moved somewhere else and a shelf placed there for toiletries? Another issue is that there is a small window in the bathroom and it doesn't have a curtain or a blind. I think it should even though the window is smaller and higher up; I still felt exposed. Overall, it was a nice bathroom. The bed wasn't the most comfy but it wasn't bad. A second nightstand or small table on each side of the bed would be really nice. The heating unit is right below a window and next to the bed so that when the heat came on, the curtain blew out over the edge of the bed nearest it. We stayed in a 2 queen room so we slept in the bed farther away from the heating unit. That would not have been enjoyable to have the curtain blowing over us (and thus the air directed on us) while we slept. Maybe a shorter curtain would help with that? I'm glad we had the option to sleep in a different bed or that would certainly have affected my rating of the motel. The hotel is very conveniently located to the Blue Ridge Parkway and within walking distance to lots of shops/restaurant sin Blowing Rock.

I don’t like to leave negative reviews, but facts are facts. We just returned from staying at here, and these are the facts. We didn’t have any hot water for our stay. We inquired about the hot water situation, and where told “we can’t help that everyone is showering” and that “maybe in an hour there would be hot water”. That was unacceptable. We were not at blowing rock, to stay on a dive hotel. Also, the room smelled musty, and the carpet was old with wrinkles. Each room has a screen door - but the doors do not have any cushioning. So they slam every time someone arrives or leaves. The walls let sound come right thru, so if you are looking for a place that is noisy, dirty/musty without hot water this is your spot. Definitely not a 4 star place, and definitely not worth the money. Sorry to say.

This is a wonderful inn. The rooms are very nice particularly the beds. Location is great. We loved this for the weekend. They do not provide soap and other toiletries so make sure you bring your own. There is a grocery store nearby to get essentials

The location is good, within easy walking distance of the centre and its many bars and restaurants.

Unfortunately, almost everything else was unacceptable. There were two drawers for guest use, both of which contained rubbish left by previous guests (plastic bags, pots of dried food, etc). The duvets on the bed were very thin and there was no additional bedding in the room. The coffee machine had not been cleaned and didn't work in any case. And last, just a minor point, but the time on the alarm clock was completely inaccurate (every other hotel we've stayed in on this trip has clocks showing the correct time).

The Blowng Rock Inn barely earns the rating I've given.

Short notice Birthday getaway. Reservation staff was great and answered all my questions. This is an older motel style hotel. We stayed in the duplex villas and had a bedroom, living area. Decor is plain...no need as the location and surrounding views are awesome. There was a faint musty smell that cleared once we were in and opened some windows...similar to any other older beach/mountain location. The cleanliness of the inn was incredible, really incredible, I can't say that enough. We will go back!

After looking over reviews of most Blowing Rock hotels/motels, We decided to book a queen room at the Blowing Rock Inn mid-October. It is a charming inn close to everything and the owners are very nice and helpful. The queen room is small, but everything was spotless and well-maintained. The two chairs in the room could have been a bit more comfortable, but we definitely enjoyed our stay. They are handling Covid very well and everything went smoothly. I think next year we will stay at one of the King suites. Looking forward to going back!

My wife and i stayed two days in room 102 over Thanksgiving. Small clean room.
We had no hot water the entire time. There is no one to help you and when u do find someone they do nothing. they give you an 800 # to call but they just take messages. very frustrating.
i have left 3 messages with no return call. The fact that you can hear your neighbors come and go also create an unwanted distraction all during your stay.
We would NOT recommend this hotel unless someone would pay under $30 / night.
However, u still wouldnt get hot water.
