We had planned to camp elsewhere about an hour away but due to diminishing daylight we decided to stop here for one quick night of camping. The place is right off a busy road and in a fairly populated area. The guy at the front desk was very friendly and answered all our questions. He helped us pick the best...

We enjoyed the friend Flintlock RV park. Older small park but is able to larger RV's. Little road noise and little hard to get out on the highway. Very pretty stream through the higher section of the park. Friendly manager and RVer's.

Came to this campground to visit Banner Elk Wooly Worm Festival. It is so quaint, friendly, and perfect at this time of year. Yes, the sites are small, but I imagine it's because they want to squeeze people in front of the heavenly stream that runs right behind your site. I can deal with the closeness to sleep beside that....

Took my two Grandsons to this camp ground for a couple of nights. They loved it !!! We stayed in one of the cabins -- ( I would suggest 3 1 or # 4 if you have a choice) Also be sure to bring your pillows and sleeping bag. Just bunks in the cabins. Had a great time --

Bad first impression and most likely our last visit. Upon checking in, the staff was rude and curt. She was not welcoming at all. A majority of the campground is comprised of permanent campers. The camping sites are extremely narrow and very difficult to back into. The outside living space between my camper and the next could only accommodate a...

Really friendly people. We camped so we got to be right along the stream that runs through the campground. The site was a little small but did work fine for us. The only complaint was the vehicle noise on the road the campground is on. However, being right along the road means you are close to stores and attractions so...

We rented a cabin and arrived on a rainy afternoon. We camp a lot so rain doesn't bother us at all. The camp sites for the RV's are close that is for sure. The cabin are small with a double bed and a set of bunks with a small table and 2 chairs. Ceiling fan does a good job but...

Requested a 50 amp, got a 30 amp. When we arrived there was a permanent residents private vehicle parked in our assigned lot. After we got parked, there was a lot of confusion about the electric hookup. Two lots had same pole with two receptacles, one on the pole and one in the box. Someone kept turning the breaker off...

We had a great time tent camping at Flintlock. I'm a fairly minimalist camper, which isn't the case of most of the folks here, but we got along pretty well with everyone. If you want privacy, this probably isn't your campground, since there isn't really a separation between the sites besides a delineation. We were in site 7, which had...
