After a long trip and our 4 hotel, we were happy with our stay. It was quiet, had a good breakfast and the staff was great. All of our request were handled quick. We loved the covered outdoor sitting area and the view. Both the laundry room awesome and heated indoor pool was an added bonus.
This hotel was clean and nice. The free breakfast offered a wide range of choices and it was wonderful to sit outside on the patio and enjoy our meal with views of the mountains. The staff was kind and since I'm in a wheelchair, having a shower with wheelchair access was appreciated more than words can say. We will definitely be returning when we come to Boone again.
Checkin in was good and easy, however the actual room was. It clean. Their were horrible stains on the carpet, a lot hair on the bathroom room floor and a large grease like stain on the desk. Just not a clean feeling.
Booked 2 nights, for a quick get away. We are a retired couple and have stayed at Country Inn & Suites on many other trips. This one didn’t meet the expectation. Receptionist was short and immediately let us know she was getting off soon! Not friendly! Gave us the wrong key, corrected it, then forgot to program it. Once that was settled. We went to our room, which immediately smelled old. Several dead bugs. The ice bucket was so dusty I put a criss-cross on it. The coffee pot was filthy, inside and out. We never made coffee nor used their plastic cups. As a personal preference, the beds were very hard and rolled to the outer edge. Walked into the breakfast area at 5:58 (it opens at 6) and we’re snapped at that it wasn’t ready yet! This is a singular hotel incident, as I said, we’ve stayed at others in the chain and were very happy. I have pictures of the coffee pot and ice bucket, but no place to insert.…
If you like a lot of traffic noise all day and night and can sleep through it, then this is the room for you. After a one night’s stay in this room, we checked out. We complained to the front desk staff and asked to be moved to a room on the opposite site of the building but they told us that they could not match the rate!!! The hotel is nice and pretty much up to date, however, they could have offered us a quieter room at the same rate rather than lose our business and a get negative review.
I understand that everyone is struggling with having enough people to keep up these days, but the quality of breakfast was sad. The biscuits, bagels and English muffins were stale. Some kind of eggs other than hard boiled would have been welcomed. The coffee was cold, empty or watery. I don't expect a gourmet breakfast for free, but these are easy fixes. My room was clean at check in, but due to no housekeeping during the week and trash not getting emptied in the rooms, there were a number of fruit flies in my room. The front desk staff was not friendly or hard to find when needed- I got back at 7:00 one night and my key wouldn’t work (again) and it took 15 minutes to find someone. I stayed here 4 years ago and it has really gone down hill since then. I was disappointed.
the night auditor Princess was friendly and amazing. She assisted me with my room because it had a minor issue and I didnt wanted a room that young lady left her front desk and cleaned the room to my likings.
John Grant, the front desk clerk was exceptional -- he helped make our stay there very enjoyable. Our room was clean and very nice. The housekeepers let us exchange towels as needed, and they were all very pleasant. The hotel's general manager, Sam King, seems to be really on top of things there and keeps everything running smoothly. In fact, there was a slight issue with our billing, and he straightened this out before I had a chance to contact him -- and then he contacted me. I would definitely recommend this hotel to stay at in Boone. It is conveniently located in town. It was nice they offered a hot breakfast, however, the addition of instant grits and cheese omelets (can be bought frozen, pre-made) would have been a very welcomed addition. I must give additional accolades to the front desk clerk, John Grant. He really made our stay there great and is a tremendous asset to this hotel. We were there for three nights, June 30 - July 3, 2022, and when in Boone again, we will definitely stay here.…
There is a nice balcony with tables and chairs just outside the breakfast room. It also had rocking chairs from which to sit and watch the sunset over the mountains. The breakfast was good but had did not vary day to day.
I highly recommend you expect when booking online that you have funds in your account to cover double the stay, they took out 400.00 for “authorization” of card and then asked to swipe card again once checking in and deducted 400.00 again. I was told the fist 400.00 was be back in my account and here I am 5 days later and still not been put in my account. Paying double hindered my weeekend with my family because I wasn’t expecting to shell out 800.00 for hotel room. Never again will I stay there.
