You have seen a million of these 3 to 5 story economy luxury motels, this is one of those. The building could have been a new Holiday Inn Express, Comfort Inn or La Quinta. But this one added some great touches: 1. It was spotlessly clean...I mean exceptional, 2. Their people went out of their way to help including the late night clerk (I think her name was Jillian) who was soooo patient with us as we had a disabled traveler in our group and we locked ourselves out of our room twice (they allow stupid people like us to stay here). She was soooo patent and helpful to us. The next morning the front desk clerk directed us to great food and to some interesting places. We will definitely stay here on our next visit. They honored my AAA discount.

There were paper signs posted all over the front of a clear divider separating the desk employee from the public. Among other notifications, I read that masks were required and pets were not invited. However, the first thing I heard after check- in was a barking dog that appeared to be in the next room. Although the noise ceased quickly, the screaming child nearby did not. How many hours does a child have to scream before a parent acts like a parent? In this case at least a few. Probably the kid got tired and gave up. The goliath above our first floor room also gave up stomp pacing after a few hours. Nice. But I was tired and the sheets were so soft, so I slept well despite the racket. In the morning the breakfast was a less than delightful sugar filled carbfest. Did they at least serve reconstituted eggs? Yes, a wonderful addition to a butter free, half and half free morning. If this breakfast buffet was a curated display of the least expensive fake foods available it would win a prize. I opted for some very weak black coffee and ignored the junk food. Checking out was a new experience too. There was no one at the front desk. Searching lead me to the kitchen where the food prep service was done. The front desk representative was multitasking. She said she would be right with me. Obviously, she had to change her chef's hat first. Knowing that a person cannot be in two places at one time I was pretty curious about the situation and determined that it was not due to lack of potential employees, but more likely a cost cutting effort. Sure the hotel's pricing is reasonable, but adding an employee for a few breakfast hours and providing butter, half and half and a few sugar free selections would make the hotel a bit more guest friendly.

Thank you so much for you review and feedback. We are a completely pet free hotel however by law we have to accept service animals. We apologize about the noise from other guests and we will do our best in future renovations to try to find ways to improve upon the sounds between rooms. We have upgraded to a complementary hot breakfast now with eggs and a meat option so we hope that you will come back and see us in the future.

About a week out, we decided to have a nice dinner in the Boone area New Year's Eve. This necessitated a place to stay, as we weren't going to drive back that night. After a quick check of TA, we chose the Sleep Inn. Conveniently located near the downtown area (could have Ubered if necessary), it was a short trip to the restaurant (The Gamekeeper) for dinner. We did not avail ourselves of the complimentary breakfast, but the room was just fine...even had an ironing board for me to press my dress shirt for dinner. We would stay there again if we have the need. Recommended.

Stayed here one night on a quick trip to Boone. First hotel stay since beginning of Covid, so wasn’t really sure what to expect.
Reception had the now ubiquitous plexi barrier. Staff were wearing masks. Guests were, too, for the most part. People were even following the “one person at a time in the elevator” rule. Judging from the crowded parking lot (shared with la Quinta?), the hotel was busy, but I rarely saw more then one or two other guests at a time.
Room was clean and comfortable. There was some noise from the road and the construction site next door, but it was mostly quiet at night. No noticeable noise from the hall, even though my room was near the elevator.
Reception staff were efficient and very friendly. I was greeted each time I went by, and definitely felt welcomed.
The breakfast in a bag left something to be desired. It consisted of a bottle of water, an individually packaged muffin, a granola bar, and a fruit salad cup. Meh. But it was a breakfast in a bag. What do you want?
All in all, a nice place and a comfortable stay. I would stay here again.

This property was our “headquarters “ for an impromptu trip to an undiscovered ( for us) portion of the Appalachian Mountains. The property was extremely clean and even though because of COVID concerns ; cleanings were not everyday; towels and other essentials were refurbished upon request. The staff was helpful about any concerns. The desk personnel served as our “consigliere “ with all kinds of helpful information about where to visit; etc.
Breakfast was a tasty sack meal. A little high in Carbohydrates ; but alas what can one do in times of the COVID ? Hope to return.

We’ve stayed in Boone before, and honestly weren’t overly excited about staying there again, but that’s where the day’s journey had us. We chose this Sleep Inn, and boy are we glad we did!
When we entered, a gentleman named Mason greeted us with bright eyes (can’t see the smile behind the mask). He asked if we had any special requests for our room and we asked that our bed be somewhat soft. (The previous night’s stay had been like bricks!) He responded, “I’ve got you!” and gave us a room on the first floor with an extremely comfortable bed in a clean room, with excellent amenities.
I also asked for a recommendation for a local restaurant. (We like to support the local places/culture.) His suggestion was amazing!
The clerk when we checked out was just as kind and considerate.

I highly recommend this hotel. HIGHLY.

We really like this hotel. We stay here when we visit Boone and its always a good experience. By giving it 5 stars I don't mean to imply that it is a 5 star hotel just that at its price point it is very good. Clean, great staff, comfy beds and pillows, breakfast and a pool. On weekends all hotels in Boone get stupidly expensive and this one is no exception. Go mid-week its a good place to stay and close to everything.

Large bathroom, but sink is inside. Coffee worse than most. 1st floor was a bit noisy from the floor above. Breakfast the usual muffins, granola bars, juice, plus available oatmeal (no milk) and waffles. Large TV with good channel selection.

It’s an older hotel, but it’s spotlessly clean and the beds are comfortable. The location is perfect if you’re visiting the university and it is also convenient to the Blue Ridge Parkway and everything else Boone offers. There was a baseball tournament in town when we were there and the hotel was full. Lots of hungry young athletes at the free breakfast, but the staff kept the food stocked and the area clean. Despite the staffing and supply problems that every business is experiencing, the employees provided every service flawlessly and cheerfully.

Always a friendly welcome! Reception staff knowledgeable about the area and take the time to give recommendations.
Clean fresh linens and towels. Room very clean with fridge and microwave.
Buffet style breakfast, does get super busy and room is small. We had coffees and yogurts early. Other offerings were omelette, potatoes and sausages. Make your own waffles and assorted pastries.
Walking distance to University, King St and bars. About 15-20 minutes on sidewalks.
