We stayed in Bristol Suite which is one of 2 suites on the main floor. The room was large, comfortable, and clean. The 2 course breakfasts were filling and very well done. Coffee, tea, drinks and snacks are available 24/7. The entire house is mostly run via solar panels/ tesla batteries on site. Ann is the innkeeper and is very hospitable and capable as are the rest of the staff. This is a nice place to stay when visiting Boone, Blowing Rock and surrounding areas
The Inn is a fully renovated historic house with modern conviences. It is clean and the staff is very friendly and helpful. There is much attention to protecting the environment, thus limited plastic. Breakfasts were excellent and presented in an artist manner. We are not big eaters, so the portions may seem small for some, if so, I am sure they would provide a little extra.
I stayed a long weekend at the Lovill House in the Hickory Suite and it was so lovely. The room was spacious, comfortable, and spotlessly clean with a working fireplace and a smart tv. The Inn keeper and the staff are wonderful- as was breakfast. Walking distance to downtown Boone and App State if the weather cooperates. The recent renovation has left the Inn with a great mix of modern and historic.
Lovill House is a gracious old inn that has been beautifully restored and is immaculately maintained. This inn has everything you might want or need plus all the little extras that make a B&B great -- lovely rooms with plush bedding and bath towels, comfortable and inviting common areas supplied with coffee, tea ,sodas and snacks, a wrap-around porch, fire pit and a waterfall just a short stroll behind the inn. The breakfast is gourmet quality and served with linen table cloths, silver and china. So lovely! Ann and her associate innkeepers were very welcoming and super helpful. When my husband could not find a certain football game on tv they stopped everything and worked some magic to access the game and comfortably set him up for the afternoon. All in all it was a perfect stay at Lovill House and we hope to be back next time we're in Boone.…
Best weekend ever. Beds were very comfy. Linens soft and comfy. Breakfast over the top good. Lovill House staff makes you feel like you are home. Everyone was so accommodating. Great foe one night stays or a lengthy stay. The fire pit outside is available to use. The parlor has books and games.
The Loville House is a hidden gem! Everything is thought of, the rooms are large & comfortable, the sheets & towels are super soft and the staff is friendly and accommodating. My husband and I spent a weekend here, and can’t wait to return. Ann’s breakfasts are memorable and the staff have great recommendations for how to spend your day. Cozy up by the fire pit or grab a game from the living room at night. Walkable into town which is a bonus!
We arrived Thursday afternoon after spending a few hours at Grandfather mountain. We were greeted by Maggie who was so nice, gave us a quick tour, then showed us to our room. We stayed in The Avery room, that had a very comfortable queen bed, nice shower, and right off the side porch. Breakfast was delicious! They provide coffee, tee, hot chocolate, and water all day, plus little snacks. The house is beautiful along with the grounds, and patio. Highly recommend. We hope to come back in the spring.
the place was excellent food and staff friendly helpful , dont worry about the old reviews been overhauled and under new management for the last 18 months , a great stay which we both thoroughly enjoyed thanks ann
Comfortable stay in a beautiful place with outstanding, friendly service! We stored our bikes securely in the workshop, and charged our Tesla in the covered parking lot. The charming center of Boone is minutes away. An ideal stay.
One of the best B&B's I have stayed in. I felt so at home. The room was immaculate and the sheets smelled fresh. The innkeeper was so pleasant and a fantastic cook. I really enjoyed the breakfast and coffee on the front porch. If you are traveling to Boone, this is where you need to stay!
