Stayed here in early November for two nights. We had booked the Bristol room, which was perfect. Did not see other rooms when we were there, but I believe Bristol may be the largest room. It has a King size bed and is located on the first floor right inside the front door of the inn. The other rooms are... More

Thank you for your very kind comments. Although all of our rooms are larger than industry standard, the Bristol room you stayed in is in the middle. Both the Linville and Hickory rooms are even bigger. Glad the weather finally got cool enough to enjoy the wood burning fireplace. Bristol is Scott' personnel favorite. Hope to see you both again... My husband and I returned to the Lovill House for the 3rd time last week, and it was as lovely as ever. We stayed there for our honeymoon in 2008 and paid a second visit in 2010 - again this time we stayed in the Lenoir Room, which is comfortable and pretty with an antique feel and morning sunlight. Anne... More

Scott and Anne were great host, the breakfast was very good with a buffet with several choices. We stayed in the Bristol Room which we were told was where the papers were signed to establish what is now Appalachian State University. The house which sits on 11 acres with its own waterfall is the oldest in Boone. We had wonderful... More

We enjoyed our stay at Lovill House Inn. The innkeepers were very welcoming, and made our stay enjoyable. They made recommendations for dinner, and were glad to answer any questions we had about the area. Breakfast was wonderful, and we enjoyed the large porch and walking the gardens. Will be back, hopefully soon!

Turning into the driveway, we were amazed. It was simply beautiful, with Dahlias in bloom everywhere. This B&B sits on 11 acres with an old apple tree over 100 years old. I ate one and it was great! Our room was so special. We stayed in the Bristol and enjoyed a beautiful REAL fire every evening. Scott had the logs... More

Thank you both again for choosing Lovill House Inn to celebrate your 50th Anniversary! The York Imperial apple tree you referred to is the last of the orchard the Lovill's planted when they built the house in 1875. They are great eating apples, and even better cooking apples in our cobblers, waffles, pancakes and breads. So glad you enjoyed your... More

We had a lovely weekend getaway. Scott and Ann were stellar and accommodating. The property was historic, and the walk into town was easy. We met wonderful new friends at breakfast. Much love and gratitude to opening your historic home to us. Many thanks. Brad and Karen.

This is a great little B&B right near downtown Boone. However, the Inn feels like it's outside the city because the property is surrounded by trees and beautiful flowers. We stayed on the second floor in the Lenoir Room. Very nice bed, very clean, chocolates on our pillow. The towels smelled a little musty, but maybe they were just a... More

Thank you for sharing your thoughts with other potential guests. One of the things we like best about the breakfast buffet is that there is less waste, and in this day and age our guests can control what and how much of anything they put on the plate. We do try our best to accommodate the special needs, dietary preferences... More

Our stay at the Lovill House Inn was very relaxing! The food was delicious and not to mention the generous hospitality of Ann and Scott! We loved the quietness of the location but yet it was so close to everything in downtown. A great place for a nice get away! Thanks again! The Puzio's
